Together we made it (you see we did it niggas)
We made it even though we had our backs
Up against the wall (come on)
Forever we waited (ah hah)
And they told us we were never gonna get it
But we took it on the road (To the riches)
on the road (To the ghetto)
on the road (In the projects, to this bangin' instrumental)
on the road (Rise with me)
on the road (Come and get it)
on the road

WE MADE IT! Even though we had our backs up against the wall,...and they told us we were never gonna get it all....
===========================================================================
Welcome to another edition of the never-ending saga of the NZ iPhones. I just got back from Auckland, after all the cloack-and-dagger and smokescreen being put out(read my last sig), to sway the "malicious parties" from further spoiling the already compromised Tumpang thread. The mission is a partial success, I shall come to that later.

Let's start from the beginning. After the disastrous start, thanks to the "jealous and malicious forces", mainly associated with this 2-million-dollar-sales arsehole, and the resultant removal of the Tumpang thread, relegated by the ever-so-"hardworking" Powers-That-Be here, the Tumpang effort were mainly circulated among PMs in here, as well as phone calls and SMSes and IM message exchanges. Just to reiterate, I have done 2 previous Tumpangs, one from NYC and another from Osaka, with no disturbance, nor a peep from the Powers-That-Be around here, including the very same iPhone-related Tumpang from NYC. Why this NZ Tumpang drew the jealousy from the sellers here and biased judgment from the "governing body" around here, God only knows, but I can venture a guess. My Tumpang was probably either undercutting these cutthroat folks with their cutthroat prices, so much that it jeopardizes their cutthroat sales of their own iPhone 3Gs. How much more cutthroat , you ask? RM2,780 against RM4,200 and up to RM5,500 even! Now it is not so weird to see why it happened eh? As for the moderators and the governing body around here, to keep things short, I am already branded a villain by you lot, even before a single post was typed in here, thanks to the nature of these folks only listening to select fews and not wanting to approach the affect parties to get a more balanced view, in this case, the general populace's perspective of me. It also didnt help that those that I have loudly criticised around here are also those who later grew up into holding the moderator status, hence spreading the already skewed view of me, and that view and word, is taken as Gospel. How do I gather these intels? Safe to say that, even in a corrupted body of governance, there are those who chose to remain partial and dont hold the same views as these already "biased" people of power. Sad really, since as a common forum member, we all hold these people as the shining beacon of hope and an exemplary of balanced governance, and unbiased discretions. Anyone see the analogy here, with what's going on in the country right now? Let your eyes be open of this, and let the words of Guy Fawkes be spoken loudly in this case, in which he utters:-

QUOTE
People should not be afraid of their government, the government should be afraid of the people.

I leave it to you to ponder those words and draw the analogy from which, of who I refer for "people" and "government" here.

That said, let's move on to the Tumpang efforts. The date was set on 7th of August, the destination Auckland, New Zealand. Why NZ iPhones? Because they are fully unlocked.Upon arrival into Auckland International and to the Citylife Hotel, I was met with the ever-so-helpful Psyeo, and we went head-first with our mission. Beforehand, I have made phonecalls once I arrived into Auckland to check on the stock levels, and they are not encouraging. From previous efforts, I could still rely on non-Vodafone stores like First Mobile to get my stocks, but now looks like the game have changes. Thanks to a slip-up by an employee at First Mobile, this reported by Cocklea, a sum of SIX iPhone 3G was sold outright to a Mainland Chinese buyer. This of course triggers bells and alarms inside Vodafone NZ and investigations by them have shown unusual amount of foreign interest in their iPhones particularly from foreign buyers. The end result? First Mobile, and even most probably other Vodafone Retail partners have tightened up the rules of purchase, and restricted them to ONE per customer, for iPhones bought outright without contract! My mission just got from hard to Mission: Impossible! cry.gif

Nevertheless, we never let that fact disheartened us, and soldiered on. The fist two units are already secured from Cocklea, but down from EIGHT to just TWO, all thanks to that previous fiasco with that Mainland Chinese vendor. The Vodafone store at the entrance of the hotel had SIX units, all 16GB White. I managed to drag myself, Psyeo and my fellow colleague(co-pilot, not the Captains) to each get one, therefore totalling THREE. Psyeo offered help by asking his younger brother, also in the same University he's studying, to get another unit, but that only will happen at 1330, once his class finishes. While waiting, me and Psyeo catched up on the current events, and our plan of attack. 1330 rolled by and together with Psyeo's brother (bless his heart for helping me!), we went to the Vodafone store at Citylife Hotel to get another unit. Guess what? SOLD OUT! cry.gif

Time to explore other possiblities. Luck was finally on our side, when I managed to get hold of Vodafone in Lynnmall, New Lynn. Remember, all other First Mobiles, our other options, are either pressured to push contracts on us before they agree to sell one, or had long waiting lists, like the one in the same store Psyeo went to get his own iPhone and mine. Vodafone Lynnmall have SIX units, all BLACK!

Without thinking further, we rushed to Lynnmall. If you care to look at the map in Vodafone.co.nz, you'd see how far this mall is from Vodafone Queen Street, which is basically where I stayed at. Taxicab ride results in cabfare of equivalent to RM100 alone, but we had to do it because of fear of stocks being raided by others before we get there. It is a race against time here , people!

Arriving to Lynnmall and founding the store, we managed to grab all SIX of the units, but not without further sleuthing and more hurdles in our way. The first employee there, a Maori, refuses to sell more than ONE per person, and there are three of us, which makes it possible to get all SIX. After deliberation with another employer there, we managed to get TWO each, coming to a grand total of SIX, and SELLING OUT the store itself!

By this time, it is already 1530, and stores in Auckland would be closed by 1700. Not wanting to give up, I managed to get through to Miselle of First Mobile in Westgate, the same First Mobile branch that I get my own iPhone 3G from (with help of a colleague and Psyeo). I called earlier and were told that possible new stocks would be arriving on this day but after 1500. Being an eternal hopeful myself, I gave Miselle a call. Hope turns to despair as Miselle came back to me with the news that new stock refresh will only happen on Monday.

Dejected, we called off out search for the other iPhones. I was already dead tired, from not getting my rest, and already feeling bad for dragging poor Psyeo and his brother around, his brother not even had his lunch! We then convened to the food court there and grabbed the bus ride back to my hotel.

Done the maths yet? 11 iPhones , folks......all 16GB. I am really sorry for folks in my Tumpang list waiting for the 8GB, especially for friends who would be coming down from Sungai Petani, Kedah empty-handed. I am sorry bro, it is out of my hands. cry.gif

To those with the 16GB in my list, feel free to contact me to arrange pickup of your "baby". Neekun and Zaakath have already picked their when they met me at the KLIA today, and I salute Harmeet15 for being there as well, I'm sorry Harmeet15 bro, I cant get a unit for you. sad.gif

The journey was arduous, filled with many hurdles, barriers and sinister plans to thwart the outcome of this Tumpang. I was lucky I was not held by the customs in KLIA, in fact there were'nt any customs at all on the crew lane! rclxms.gif

I end this first post to this new thread, with two things.

1. I would like to wish a big "fcuk you" to those who were thwarting the success of this Tumpang thread, particular the arsehole-with-two-million-sales who reported it. I flip "the middle finger" too to the moderators for their lack of vision, and discretion, and their eager willingness to hear only the bad about people, and not wanting to even give a chance for good things like this to happen. I still stand by my principle that my Tumpangs are not a sale, a bulk or a trade f any kind, it is just an avenue , a hand extended to help those who need my help to get items unavailable locally or at a reasonable rate. My passion to help was further rekindled by the fact that iPhone 3G sellers here are without regard or remorse to their fellow Malaysians, slaughter them with their ridiculous prices. May you rot in hell for your greedy ways!

2. I leave you with this analogy of a story akin to the movie Dogma. I leave all of you to your thoughts to intepret what I'm trying to convey here, no matter if you agree with me or not. Here it is:-

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

To the guys with their new iPhone 3Gs, I hope you enjoy it, and make full use of it. Please post your findings impressions, and discoveries here. To those waiting to pick up your "baby", please post when you are free here, for date/time and venue as well. To those wanting to still get the 8GB, I have a proposition for you. I can either refund you back your funds in its entirety, or you could still trust me with it, and I will try my best to get them myself either next week,if I get called out of my standby to do another Auckland flight, or next month, should I get another Auckland again. I leave it up to you, it is your choice.

Peace, out. I need to get some rest.........

to those 16GB Tumpang-ers, hope you guys will truly enjoy and explore it.... icon_rolleyes.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif
don't forget to post your iPhone 3G story here... as String quoted "We are FAMILY.... iPhone 3G Story" thumbup.gif

@String
I will definitely stay on the waiting list..... you should know better than others about my passion of getting iPhone 3G rite ?
Otherwise, I won't travel down to KL all way long from North side, although it is kinda tiring trip on the bus.... but I believe
it won't as tired as yours in NZ... tongue.gif I understand how tired it could be..... although I couldn't get it on this trip, but will
hope to get it whenever it is available.... icon_rolleyes.gif

Really salute to Sting for his spirit of tolong-menolong! Without him around, we would never ever get the 16gb 3G iPhone at such a great price! Looking at those sellers price, it is really insane and cut throat.

My white iPhone is lying there beautifully while I am syncing all my iTunes Store App with it. It works flawlessly with Digi and my US iTunes account! Hmm...now i need $$$ to top up my iTunes store credit, so many apps to download yet so sikit credit to use haha!

Hmm..only one small question i need to explore, when plug into my Universal Dock it says charging not allowed cause not compatible...that's strange! So at this point of time i am relying on my Macbook Pro usb port for charging.

Took me 45 minutes to apply front side. Applied, peel, and re-applied haha. Now it's perfect!

But I guess for the back side, i would rather not to apply it at least for now. I know it's gonna be a looooooong process...

Okie, need to grab some sleep. To be continued tommorw with some photos of the phone!

To those asking me if there will be another Tumpang, please understand that I will not do another until the rest of the 15 in my first list gets theirs first. I feel obligated to help them get theirs before any more new participants are added. I dont like long, sad faces, and I especially dont like disappointing people who believed in me and are behind me through thick and thin, and these folks are just that. They trust me to get their iPhones, and I dont want to disappoint them.

Also, doing the Tumpang in the background, through PM, IMs and phone calls/SMS is so much more problematic, than posting a single post in a thread in here. Since the current "policy" is that Tumpangs = sale/trade, I will most probably will not do another until this is revoked. They have their principles, and I have mine.

First of all thanks to String and the posse that help him get all the 16gb 3G Iphone. As always people with good heart and good intentions are always been depicted as villains or regarded with suspicions of bad intentions. To the moderators who deem fit to close the original Tumpang list, I say open your blinkers. Its not a bulk or sale it would have been good to use your better judgement as there was NO profit made on this excursion. Why would anyone go out of their way for a day go through several shops, when he should be resting for his next flight or just chillin' to get 15 Iphones. There have been other tumpangs and rather than closing the thread you could have ask String on his intentions and be the judge of that rather than acting in a draconian way much like the ISA we have.

I am enjoying my White 3G iphone and I save a bundle. It is a pity that those with 8gb could not get it this round but it takes a good person like String to willingly try it again and go through the hassle to go to many shops.

Oh String having a problem with names and contacts put it with + at the front doesn't recognize names with incoming calls and on SMS without + it doesn't recognize.

Hi Zaakath,

Yea, the caller name issue is there. There is a "workaroud" though...

All these while i stored all my numbers in +601x xxxxxxx, with this iPhone, incoming calls from Malaysia number will be 01x xxxxxxx, thus the phone can't show the name. But for SMS, no issue at all as it is in the format +601x xxxxxxx.

Workaround for me is in addition of the +601x xxxxxxx, I added 01x xxxxxxx as well for the contacts (I got about 200+ contacts to edit)...though a bit leceh but once it is done u will be seeing all caller names for both incoming calls and SMS rclxm9.gif

hahahaha.... yea, it is a loooooooooooooooooong process though for 1-side only.
i think u'd better apply your 'back side' before u got it scratches !  tongue.gif

Enjoy the applying process....  laugh.gif  (will quite frustrated applying it indeed)
don't forget the pix ya for your FRONT Aifontriji with IS.  drool.gif

Hey friends, ya woh. Tis morning i started applying the back cover around 9am, ended up around 11am baru complete. For the edges, i think it is impossible to make it smooth with all the curves, so I cut off some of the edges (to sacrifice the edge protection) and now all edges are fixed pretty well.

A lot of patience is required for the application, especially for white iphone as a tiny tiny imperfection is visible, so definitely not recommended for those perfectionist. At this point of time I will settle for this Invisible Shield for back cover..until i feel bored heheee and will go for Gelaskins rolleyes.gif

A sweet sweet victory for stringfellow, maybe everyone who manage to get their new baby should gather together with stringfellow and organize a gathering - belanja him for his effort? rclxms.gif

If you don't want to go thru the hassle steps of applying skins,
then you should consider case.

If not, u can go with skin on the back, plus with casing

8GB guys, you know who you are. I got 4 confirmations that they want to hold their purchases until I get another Auckland, 1 already refunded, and 1 status unknown. Please let me know your status, for the one without the status confirmation. Otherwise, I will hold your funds until you contact me back.

Updates:- All 16GB accounted for, and all except one already collected. The last unit is set to be collected tomorrow. I hope all you guys enjoy your iPhone 3G, congratulations to Neekun, Zaakath, Ken6800, Xero800, Roger(Psyeo's friend), Crxr, and Tishaban. The rest are outsiders, and my own brother's unit. Ken6800, Xero800, Crxr and Roger was here with me just now, and we have done the activation together, zero hassles. Congratulations again! rclxms.gif

Added on August 10, 2008, 6:17 pmI have no status update on if I want to do another Tumpang or not. My main priority here is to make our 8GB brothers happy again. Until then, no further Tumpangs. This, compounded with the mod restrictions around here, makes me weary of even starting another Tumpang.

The next Auckland trip, will only be for our 8GB brothers.(Or if they want to top it up to 16GB). If you do want to top it up, I will arrange another meet, with the amount NZD for the top up. Exception will be for friends since he is in Sungai Petani, Kedah. If you dont feel like continuing with this Tumpang, please arrange for time/venue to meet.

That's a lot of extra effort required. I bet almost all of the time you were in NZ were spent searching for it and not doing your own stuff. Have fun new owners. Glad it worked out smile.gif

Things may become more relaxed a bit once the whole "Mainland China vendor bought 6 iPhones one shot" episode dies down, and Vodafone decides not to impose that crazy "ONE per person" restrictions. We have the advantage in this case, with the presence of brother Cocklea in the system. Psyeo may be up to it as well, if it is not too much trouble to him, since his University and his place of stay is very close to Vodafone Queen Street. I am eternally thankful these two are on our side. notworthy.gif

I have to thank Psyeo and his bro, and Cocklea for a great time while I was there. First time I had a meal at BurgerFuel, with colorful-labelled menu like the B a s t a r d Burger (I am not kidding! laugh.gif), and Cocklea for joining us later for Gloria Jeans and The Dark Knight :The Imax Experience later. The Dark Knight on IMAX is bloody awesome, and it is in High-Definition, not like the Times Square version. The very first scene where the camera swoops close to the building already make a few people in the theater quesy because it DOES LOOK like we are flying too CLOSE to the building! It was'nt a coincidence that Christopher Nolan included lots of aerial and close quarter shots in the movie. Dont get me started with the sound.......earth shattering! Thumbs up IMAX Auckland! rclxms.gif

Here are some pics of the 3G iPhone. I applied Invisible Shield to both front and back, front is pretty easy to apply but the back is a pain...and around the edge is not that perfect, so i guess just bare with it until I got myself a Gelaskins or a tight fit silicon case smile.gif

I tested the Maps with the GPS, it's freakingly accurate and fast! rclxm9.gif I can detect my current location in less than 20 seconds, even though I am indoor. With my N95 8Gb, I need to stand close to the tingkap at least, in order to get detected, and it takes about an minute or so.

Bro, that's still not entirely accurate. You would need to turn that circular crosshair into a single pulsating blue dot. Then only it is using the GPS onboard. After you get a blue dot, the blue circular shaded area around that dot represents the GPS accuracy, the smaller it is, the more accurate your position is.

1 - The last 5 participants get their units

AND

2 - My Tumpang no longer considered a sales or trade thread of any kind. You know who to look to for that. rolleyes.gif

String,

I read in amazement and curiousity on your adventure sweat.gif and all the hassle you got to go through blush.gif just to get your fellow forummers their 16GB iPhone!

You are truly what I call an extinct spicies! Ha ha ha! thumbup.gif I salute u man!

So funny to read about someone term.. the 2 million dollar arse! biggrin.gif Got such thing one meh blush.gif but after seeing the link... brows.gif maybe got lah! sweat.gif ha ha ha!

I was one of those people hoping to get on your tumpang thread. That time.. i was so disappointed when you call it off! But can't blame you since there's some people out there to sabotage this tumpang thread.

Nevertheless, with the info (which u so kindly share with us), I managed to get my own from NZ as well. It was the best phone I ever have! Cos I cheap skate don't want to throw away my Nokia ma... nod.gif

Interface wise... really knock HTC Touch (sluggish) and Samsung Omnia (better than Touch) out of the waters! But it do have it cons.. but those are negligible.

Overall... CONGRATS to all the NEW OWNERS. Hope you enjoy them like I do. My gf is enjoying her WHITE 16GB as well (imagine a high-tech mobile illiterate becoming literate in all the functions in such short time is really amazing). The iconic power of the iPhone 3G ma . laugh.gif

been using symbian phone for the past 6 years and now switched to the iphone is really a whole new experience. gotta say the itunes store got the better of nokia's mobile storefront initiative (download! app). really smart move mr.jobs! all in all, the iphone's GUI and user experience's really intuitive and simple, and probably appeals to more people.

a bit thank you goes out to string for his admirable effort in getting us the iphones. he's an example all of us should exemplify if not follow. now the hunt for a nice casing!

Well I have given the IPhone 3G Stringfellow very kindly flew half a world away for to my girlfriend while I am in Jakarta as I cant use GPRS here.

But she tells me she loves the phone, best thing she's ever used, etc etc.

So Stringfellow, I have you to thank for a happy girlfriend and peace of mind. Well done on not only helping get us fortunate souls a new iPhone 3G, but for cementing my relationship as well!

Cheers! biggrin.gif

So at this point of time i am relying on my Macbook Pro usb port for charging.

yup, very much in demand. 8gbs MIAs for a while now, while the whiteys, mysteriously famous now, also in hiding. 16gb blacks, tak laku. We have 12 sitting in the cabinet wacko.gif

right now we have the 3 per-person limit back on, but only on special basis like NZ companies, high up persons, etc etc. Normal walk-ins, still 1 per person.

@harmeet15,
AFAIK the iPhones aren't available in China other than in HK for now. Even if you're willing to pay the extra price (HK sets are >RM4k) U will need a valid HK address I think

Wow great journey across the international borders smile.gif It comes close to reading a fiction novel hehe...

Btw...won't the alarm bells be tripped by such a detailed account of how it is done though? I mean it is a cool read but shop names are being mentioned etc. LYN's forum pages do tend to show up quite regularly on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd pages of a lot of Google searches.....just a thought. hmm.gif

Why would it a problem for the stores? They themselves are representing Vodafone NZ, and are bound by law to sell them, even if they limit them by their own rules. My only concern was only the possible sabotaging by "malicious forces" here should they tip the customs about the purchase.

Other than that, the new is out, but believe it or not, even up till now, not many knows about the nature of NZ iPhones. Even here, everybody still seem to think, that the best location to get an iPhone, is still the States. I'd rather like that, let them go on their wild goose chase to the US , while stocks remain available for me to get in NZ. rclxms.gif

Looks like it is game over, folks.

Just received my roster online. ZERO Auckland next month. Got Osaka, Mumbai, Shanghai, Frankfurt and another Tokyo.

To those who I still hold your money, please come back with me with what you want me to do with it. This is so depressing! cry.gif

I dont know if there is anything I can do with that Mumbai flight, arrival in Mumbai on Saturday night, and departure Sunday late night. If Indian iPhones are indeed unlocked and if anyone knows where I can get them, I am willing to purchase them on your behalf. Anyone?

Before we begin to think of anything, I need someone to tell me where to get them and if there are truly unlocked. I am clueless in this, I need directions and as much info I can get.

it's almost impossible to source for any info regarding the release of iphone 3g in india. it seems like those indians can't be bothered with the release at all and rather go with n96.

based from his post; http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p...757&postcount=8

i'm predicting and sensing a very high possibility depressing outcome of the release.

I think both Bharti Airtel and Vodafone India are locked. Otherwise, people would be buying one from a carrier and free to subscribe to the other carrier.

One by one, the window of opportunity closes.. sad.gif

Guys, I've a question to ask, which apparently brought up after the accusation on my conduct here in this forum.

Am I an Alpha-Male to you guys?

Am I treated differently just because I'm helping you getting the iPhones, or am one of your possible ways of getting one?

I hope the answer is NO, because if I know I get special treatment and people follow me and whatever I say and do (the Alpha-Male affinity), I'll stop doing all this Tumpang and all. I repeat , I do not want any kind of treatment for doing this, other than how one person should respect and treat another person. I got branded as an Alpha-Male to you guys for no reason and I get insinuated as leading you guys into flaming NOOBs. I have enough troubles in my life as it is already, I dont need more of this.

But i always respect people doing good thing. I;m actually want to complaint regarding final list 15, and distribution of 11 iphone. But i dont want to complaint. Why ? Bcoz that such mistake is too small than what you have done to us. Tumpang thread should not to be close, if you really ikhlas. Go to hell those ******* people who are jealous with u and i will treated you as my friends not bcoz "tumpang".

I am not looking for short term friends that comes and go, I'm looking for reliable ones. The ones that stick with you through thick and thin.

People befriending me because I can get them iPhones , and only because of that, those are not type I'm looking for.

I'm just sad that someone accused me of being an Alpha-Male to guys here, and that gives the impression that people befriended me only because I'm the route to their iPhones.

Makes you realise who your real friends are.

String,

No point feeling sad because of someone accusation, only yourself and all of us will know that we can be kawan-kawan, not just because you helped us getting the phone, but it's mainly because we have a common interest as well like hanging out at Lowyat.net (gadget freak tongue.gif ), passion in Apple products, always trying to help others etc.

For me it is simple, people can accused me of anything they want but I will just be myself and don't care a damn thing icon_rolleyes.gif , even though sometimes the accusation towards me is quite true rclxm9.gif

Cheer up!!

huh ? Did I miss something ?
I have a rough time with Internet lately, slow like hell.

Wat "Alpha-Male" ? Sorry for my poor english...

Well string bro... I'm not quite sure what is going on for now (will check details when really got time to surf when I'm off duty).
Anyhow, sometimes other people's comments we can't actually take them all, sure there is good and bad as different people have different perspective.
Just ignore those comments that make you feel unpleasant, and take those that you think will make you a BETTER person. This is at least what I think of, when comes to "attacking".

In real life, we can't run away from other people try to take advantages from another, but that is really a BAD + LOW QUALITY personality one owned. That is why sometimes it is so hard to get trusted and reliable friends... We just have to 'watch out' always when comes to picking friends.

Not choice, some people just can't be the REAL of themselves.
I just hope that it won't bother you too much on this matter.
Life is really short... Most importantly, BE TRUE TO YOURSELF, by then
we have nothing to lose....

Cheers out icon_rolleyes.gif

Like friends, I've no idea what happened or took place in the last 12hrs but AFAIK I don't see U as an Alpha-Male. Do not let those 'hasut-ers' [oK... i meant those people who 'hasut'] get to U. It's impossible to please everyone around here; as long as Ur conscience is clear who cares what others think biggrin.gif

And I too befriended U long before the iPhone Tumpang came into the picture tongue.gif You certainly can add me onto ur true friend list ! smile.gif

Thanks for the explanation.
Well we can't do much if someone tries to make it so "political" (pls DO NOT !)
Another politic like PKR vs. BN ??

We have enough with what we have right now in Malaysia politics.

I agree. Just ignore it. You know who is worth your while and who is not. No point wasting time and energy on the people who bring negative elements into your life. We can't please everyone.

IMO, alpha male is not such a bad description to have. Alpha males are called so because people trust them in certain situations to provide leadership. Genuinely caring for other people (aka selflessly helping others to get iPhone 3G's tongue.gif and dispensing free advice) is an alpha male trait.

However with that label or not, we will affect others around us with our behaviour. They can either choose to selectively emulate our qualities for self improvisation or simply become sheep who blindly follow. It is not the case of "I say, you follow". We don't have direct power over such decisions made by external parties. We can try to influence them to think for themselves but ultimately the power to decide is still in their hands. If we don't want any of this to deal with, we should just shut up and put ourselves into a bubble...which I don't think very highly of a person because it is a backward move.

Added on August 23, 2008, 11:35 am@louismhc > Btw...I hear from one of my friends about the iPhone 3G launch in Singapore. Lucky you. Apparently the Singtel contract is very affordable. Shame they don't sell the unlocked version but I am told by my friend (customer service rep) that they are being trained to answer questions like "If I move to a different country, say Malaysia, can I still use my iPhone?" tongue.gif I'm still trying to get more info on this since I was only told briefly last night. *just finished reading the sg thread... so we Malaysians have to get around the contract problem... anyways OT here...

Cool, another acquaintance in Singapore.smile.gif I have very close friends, whom I consider family already, living in Tampines. Id rather not "say anything", and I certainly dont want anyone anyone to "follow what I say". Leaders hold too much of a responsibility to their followers and I do not want that responsibility. Aiks, this thread still alive aaaah? tongue.gif

Sudhirian, UGPM. No Tumpangs until those conditions I wrote in there are met....and form the way I see things are run in this here forum, probably wont be any for a long time. I'm not allowed to help people until I line other people's pockets with money first.

Tumpang complete! Last two of the guys on the Tumpang list, friends & Hanxz, alongside DavidGary will either already have received and molested their Aifontriji, or in the process of molestation. tongue.gif laugh.gif

It took 3 and a half months to do this, and I sincerely hope everyone in the list, are happy with their iPhones, be it received from me or ventured your own way for the SG version. Thank you for reading, and make full use of your babies, guys!

Mission accomplished, thread closed.
