Here goes,

I was with my ex for 5 years. We usually take turns to pay be it for meals, movies, etc.

I will always make sure I pay for the more expensive bill when we go out. I'll be paying for dinner and she'll pay for movies. She's making around RM3K a month and I'm making 3 times of that. We don't spend lavishly because we are saving to get married.

After we've broke up, I've been going out with a few girls. Now I spend like crazy. Buying diamond and crystals just because I feel like it and recently I spent a lot for a 9 days holiday trip to New Zealand. She only paid about RM2500 and the rest is on me.

I guess there are 3 reasons to it:-

1) The girls I go out don't make as much as my ex
2) I used to save with a goal, now I don't have a motivation to save so I spend like mad.
3) It's the devil inside me coaxing me to spend lavishly so that my ex will regret breaking up with me.

I'm writing all these is to slap myself and to stop what I'm doing.
