I would never EVER let my boyfriend pay for my personal items, i.e. clothing, books, cosmetics. I mean, wtf? We're not married. His money is either (a) his parents' money, or (b) his hard-earned money; so I really don't see why it should go to me. That's just selfish. Occasionally he picks up when I say things like "I'm running out of hand cream, perfume, etc" and he goes out and buys me stuff out of his own free will, which is really sweet of him, but I try to insist that personal, girly things be mine to pay for. I mean, would HE ask ME to pay for his briefs and cologne???

Food-wise, haha we take turns paying for each other. Valentine's Day was hilarious. I paid for him, he paid for me, and we both had the same dish anyway so it was even. lmao
