cool! looks like there'll be quite some trading and sales going on later

just got back from gathering. today's gathering was packed! traded, sold and bought a lot of cars. managed to sell/trade off my thunt mustang, thunt plymouth, chevy impalas and almost all of my 4 of my blue cadillacs were sold! bought traded and especially chit chat a lot..good gathering in all.

haha yeah! i have a few other cars in the works as well, but this is the only nice one

the tyres are also done

i added brake calipers behind the rims for more realistic effect. learnt from jdmike's blog.

nope, they're maisto's wheels. hot wheels will have a hole in the centre

yeah those tyres are rubbers. and the calipers i fabricated them myself using hardboard, and then painted red.

its done! thanks for your vote of confidence guys. here's how it turned out:





for this version of civic, i like the tempo and paint so i retained the colour and just painted the roof and hood black. also, i painted the headlamps to give more details in the front. i resprayed the undercarriage matt black so that the rear diffuser has a more "carbon fibre" feel to it. then i painted the drive shafts and exhaust pipe silver (you can see from the the rear view picture) i also fabricated an intercooler below the headlamp and grill, behind the air intake if you can see it (front view picture). the rims you saw yesterday has been fitted, with brake calipers and all. it took three days in all, im quite pleased with my effort. it was fun!

dinie90, sure you can pass me your car to customize but you're gonna have to pay for any costs of the modification.

demonicle, the wheels are from maisto ridez. they are available in most places where hw are located. aiyo, you already considered power hauler la demonicle, if we post wow everytime you haul we already in hotwheels v20. kidding kidding!

sinclair, unfortunately for this mod because the wheel and axle sizes from maisto are different from hotwheels, the wheels cannot roll as the axles are smaller than the wheel holes. so i fixed the wheels static (cant rotate). however, i can make a version with the wheels still rotating, but i'll require a thunt$ (enzo or skyline) wheels to make that happen. you can pass me your loose civic and a wheel donor car if you want.

here's the undercarriage before reassembly. i forgot to take a pic of the undercarriage after assembly.

but cham you so sifu in 1/24 model kits... how can quit.

yeah im also looking for both the dark and light blue skylines. so pretty! wah show pics!
