........anyone here dived with ALU ALU (SSI) ?

Added on June 9, 2011, 9:01 amim not sure whether im seasick or not..last time i went on an island was using a big ferry.. (both to Pangkor, Bintan).....to Sibu was a small boat but hardly recall as it was when i was small

so what kindda seasick pills are there? can i just go to guardian/watson and pop the question, kak, pill mabuk laut ada tak?

there are 2 types of sea sickness pills. natural and drug-based. for the naturals, the main ingredient is ginger and it is used for milder forms of seasickness. for drug-based, u have brands like Kwells and etc. They sometimes give side effects like dehydration and dry mouths but are more effective than natural ingredient based pills and. These pills are just for prevention so they are to be taken at least half an hour before traveling.
Try not to rely so much pills because by doing so u will never "learn" how to overcome seasickness. Studies found that sometimes people who have mild seasickness talk/think themselves into a more severe seasick condition and sometimes to overcome seasickness is to get psychologically prepared.
There are a few rules/tips on how to prevent seasickness though. Try to stay away from alcohol the day before u set out to the sea, get plenty of rest and keep yourself hydrated. And if you find yourself feeling slightly nauseating, just look out at the horizon. Try not to close your eyes lie down because by doing so, the brain is receiving different signals from the eye and ear (i.e. eye is focusing on something stationary but fluids in the ear is unbalanced due to the rocking of the boat)
Hope this helps!
