You guys are so BIAS.

how about some male character LUV!?

How could people not love a character with evil eyes, but is so gentle and good with cooking?
And an extreme clean freak too!

(this is all first ep revelation, so I don't think it needs a spoiler tag)

Heh.. slow slow learn la.

I watch so much anime and j-dorama, can pick out most sentences already.
Since you guys watch a lot also, sure can pick up more words what.

Then no need to depend on fansub so much.

For for new series still not out on dvd.
But usually I still try to get fansubs... LQ version because they're smaller in size than the raws, which is usually 300mb+ per ep.

Dunno what she said it sounded like Boom te! Boom te! Boom te!..
I know she's referring to the breasts and butt though

I love the look of how she's traumatized by the sight lol.

I also like the part where Ami looks at her weird friends and pretends not to know them.

<short silence in shock>
minna wa do ko kana? <walks away pretending she doesn't know them>
Watashitachi wa koko dazo! <they follow her>

That reminds me of what I did when I was in school lol.

But the beach scene, I must admit, a bit overused.
But with the way the story is heading, I hope they won't do a half assed ending and say "see you next season" kind of endiing. vmad.gif

Heh.. kinda sad thinking they'll end it at 12, when the tsunderism is just starting out.

Man, Ryuji, you're a clean freak and a heck of a cool guy, but why do you take all the abuse from chibi-chan cry.gif

Added on December 2, 2008, 12:28 amEh no, izit 13 instead? Anidb is confusing.. sweat.gif

Well, if it's 25, then it's all good, but if it's 12/13, then obviously it's going to be a lil' disappointing

I can't wait for episode 17 to be subbed and released.
This is one awesome anime. =D
I wonder the resemblence of Taiga's character to Louise from Zero no Tsukaima is just a coincidence, or something else?
*
prolly more than just a coincidence.. the inu... inu part was kind of obvious

But her language in the first few eps was horrible... cannot imagine if real life girl that doesn't even look scary said all that..

Anyway, that is assuming the story goes like the novel, which could be a plus or a minus.

For some novel readers, Kitamura is made into a somewhat bland character, while others might disagree.

Anyway, spoil or not, I'd watch it anyway tongue.gif

Seriously, too long stories, I'd rather get the spoilers than wait till I'm old and wrinkly, such as FMP, I got bored waiting for the sequel, It think I'm at the 5th or 6th novel already.

Just finished watching ep 21

All I can say is wow.

Still, I would speculate that Ryuji, being the lolikon that he is, would probably stay with Taiga for the next few eps, or more. Then Minorin and Ami would likely go emo and things would change yet again. I don't think Yuusaku can go emo though. He's gone through many phases of rejection he's probably immune. Ha Ha.

It's sad to see that the two person(s) that was honest with their feelings get the roundabout in this series, but that's expected, as they are plot devices for love/romance animes.

BTW, do girls punch with fists in Japan? LOL. tongue.gif
I think that letter Ya-chan handed to her son may play a bigger part. A really big part in determining the pairings this anime finally settled on. I hope they throw a curveball and make it different from the novel.

Don't think that's a killer line (for melah), notice what Ryujii says about what he's going to do once he finds her.

Hanasanai... Ooooooo...... (O_o)

I'm hoping it's a canon though, because waiting for the next season and the next would be extremely boring, example being like Full Metal Panic.. Good luck waiting for a sequel for that.

I'm curious about Minorin, as the anime, I feel, did not flesh her out properly, as in what her 'guilt' is all about, and what's with Minorin, esp. her remark on her not going to Taiga's house since her freshman year unless she 'had to'.

What kind of friend is that?

I do like her initially, due to her bubbly-ness, but now she's dark and sinister.

Here's hoping for a alternate ending tongue.gif

lol, since they have sex in the novel, I doubt the anime will potray it out.

Still hoping for an alternate ending.. surprise me! smile.gif

BTW, no one answered what minorin guilt is all about, since stormy and a few others actually read the novel, then the minorin guilt is probably fleshed out better, or do they only read the summaries of the novels? (O_o)

I'm curious what her guilt is all about, and how come Ami is the only one that notices?

Minorin is not guilty but rather she has other goal in her life, beyond relationship. She wanted to surpass her younger brother in baseball and been taking various odd jobs to get money for sports college admission. She DID like Ryuji but just not enough to abandon her life dream in pursuit of sporting excellence. Being a girl though, she settle to be PE coach as her future choice since there is no female baseball league in Japan.

Ami was very angry at Minorin because she tried to pretend that nothing significant happen on Xmas night, ignoring Ryuji's broken feelings. She is pushing Minorin to resolution of her feelings towards Ryuji which we will see later in ep 23 or 24 of anime.

Thanks to her career and life, Ami is the most observant and very keen about other people, especially the one she cares about. However she is still a teenage girl as her final confrontation with Ryuji shows how vulnerable she is. In this scene, Ami was crying that no one seems to care about her and notice her feelings which Ryuji tries to rebut but got dust off by her. She ran away crying, swearing that she did not want to see him anymore.
*
I couldn't have imagined minorin being a serious 'career onna' lol. Seriously, I guess the conversion from novel to anime made a lot of things unclear, esp in regards to the thoughts of the character and their goals in life. And what's with Ami liking Ryuuji? I mean, they converse the least, yet Ami is infatuated with Ryuuji? I thought that in the anime, Ami got closer to Ryuuji just to spite Taiga, initially, then in the later episodes, they're all buddy buddy again, WTH?

I think that as a novel reader, you can help clarify these issues, rather than just reveal the ending, though in actuality, the ending was VERY obvious from the title. Just like those clear cut romance books my sister/mom/etc used to read.. (yeah, I read a few lol, so straight cut, it's laughable)

Anyway, still better than a romance anime/manga with no end in sight (Ah Megamisama, anyone?)LOL

Or maybe, Taiga and Ryuuji goes for a School Days Bad Ending smile.gif

Ami did liked Ryuji but she realised that she is too late to get his attention hence her comment of "If I have known you earlier". Vol 4 is where she tried her hardest to get him but she realise it is going nowhere hence she convinced herself to be a counselor and good friend to these group of people. However her feelings keep conflicting her thinking which in volume 9 finally erupted after being kept for so long inside of her.
*
Why the sudden change? I mean, during the earlier scenes when Ami was introduced, she seems like one of those people which I would say kind of egotistical, and being a model and having money, surely she's not a little girl that simply wants attention.. >_>, but author's creative license means I have no right to complain lol.

In volume 4? What kind of effort did she do? She always states it in her small voice, and when Ryuuji is going like, What? I couldn't hear you clearly. and she just goes emo and "forget what I said".

Seriously, for a model that is obviously aware of her good looks, why is she so insecure around Ryuuji, a yankee boy that obviously she could get easily, if she wanted? Or is Ami a good looking model that is insecure, which absolutely does not compute.

And what the heck is it with Kitamura? The character is totally out of whack, one moment serious, one moment lethargic, one moment ERO hero during Chrismas going stark naked. smile.gif

it is not sudden, she gradually realise her feelings and because Ryuji did not leer at her unlike many guys, she found him fascinating. She is actually kind hearted but it is just that she did not censor herself when she comment on things. She is not insecure, she realise that Ryuji and the gang are genuine people with genuine personality. That is why she sticking around them.

The beach house scene. The anime capture the essence well. Go and watch again.

Kitamura real story is Sumire. The part of him and Taiga is just an obstacle just like Minorin and Ryuji.
*
The beach house scene was just her being insecure, at least for me, because she got interrupted and simply dropped the subject.

she realise that Ryuji and the gang are genuine people with genuine personality < lol, that statement reminds me of the train station scene, where they did the many hands dance, and she pretended not to know them...

Well, that's the lacking part of watching anime, they cut it short, Sumire was hardly fleshed out as a character, though that fight scene gave a lot of insight into her character. Otona poi.

I see, I do wish Kitamura has a better ending though, in the end, he's just a plot device after all. >_>
