Ryuuji and Taiga should stay friends. It’s way cooler that they care for each other so much without having romantic feelings.

Well read my summary again, Kodomo, then you understand why she is behaving like that. Minorin, Ami and Taiga are loneliest female characters I seen so far in anime. All of them try to match up everyone else but with different emotions so things quickly went out of control. That is basic summary of ep 19.

What ep 19 did not show is, Ryuji is getting very cynical after the rejection as the novel do.
