Nah, Ami later on will be mediator and only wants to be noticed. She knew she is loser in the romance race with Minorin and Taiga, hence she resigned herself to be a good counselor to Ryuji.

However later on, somewhere in eps 19-21, we got to see her efforts went unappreciated and she got very emo, resulting on her bag got kick very far by angry Ryuji after she made a very sarcastic comment. Her most important final scene is her conflict with Minorin (who decided to give up Ryuji despite her feelings for him).

Ahahhaha! I guess no one gives a hoot. If I spoil Naruto or Bleach then maybe people want to sembelih me jadi bah kut teh.

Kitamura is a moral and conscience foil/ mirror to all main characters for comparision, his story ends when Sumire went to USA for uni studies since he has no more conflict to resolve.

The later arc story will use Taiga's and Ryuji's mom as principle prick of events that climaxed in the end of Volume 9.

The anime staff indicated in their blog that they already finished up the storyboarding of the series including planned Vol 10 plot directly from novelist herself so fans will get a glimpse of what vol 10 is all about when final episode of the anime aired later.

Vol 10 is scheduled on 10th March 2009. Needless to say, I couldn't wait to read it.

Well read my summary again, Kodomo, then you understand why she is behaving like that. Minorin, Ami and Taiga are loneliest female characters I seen so far in anime. All of them try to match up everyone else but with different emotions so things quickly went out of control. That is basic summary of ep 19.

What ep 19 did not show is, Ryuji is getting very cynical after the rejection as the novel do.

wohoo Ami and Minorin killing each other. Just like the novel.

Their spat will last until second last episode, Ami disgusted at Minorin's delusion and half assed behaviour, Minorin angry at Ami's rudeness and own self deception.

Yes it is but it miss Ami's pseudo confession to Ryuji scene that is from the novels. It is right before Minorin/Taiga rammed into Ami that causes the catfight.

What is missing from the anime, Ami's exact words in novel...:


"Taiga's been trying hard to live on her own lately and Minori-chan dumped Takasu-kun......And now that the two of them are out of your reach, maybe I'll take you for myself. This is all according to my plan. Because for all this time, I'd really been thinking that I wanted to date you. Because I like you.....If I said that, what would you do? I'm lying by the way."

Ryuuji gives his usual dense reaction.

"Because, it's not true. This isn't what I expected.....This isn't what I wanted, this really wasn't....But....the fact is, I did poke my nose in too much."

No more sequel after Vol 10 of novel which going to be out on 10th March 2009. The author said so already.

Shah, Minorin and Ami is out alreadyla, the story is accelerating to Taiga/Ryuji ending. lol

Among the 3, Taiga showed most improvement and she is barely recognizable now from episode 1. In terms of character development, she wins by huge mileage. She might still have the violent streak but it is tempered with compassion now since she is receiving human warmth that is markedly absent in her entire life pre-anime series. She is perhaps one of the loneliest girl in anime series I seen so far but thanks to certain someone, she is now getting back on track on being a self actualizing person. Which is very impressive to me.

Ami's refusal to be honest is the reason why she is stuck with her own impasse, hence her frustration is bottled up and she often take it out on Taiga. Worst part, she knew it herself. Her character development is glacial but explosive when it happens. A worst manifestation of her Jekyll/Hyde personae dramatis. She is hot, seductive but ultimately stagnant due to her own mind games she played on herself and Ryuji. However she believes in action and decisiveness, which is why realized from day 1 that she missed the bus sorely in fight for Ryuji's heart. She settled to be a counselor and devil's advocate in the series but her emotional pain did peek out once in a while in tantalizing moment which predictably missed by Ryuji not just because he is stupid but also he has reason to believe she is faking it due to her record past. Just as Taiga, she is another very lonely soul but she did get her kickbacks a little in this aspect but unfortunately she is too conceited to admit it to Ryuji especially. This is why despite her fascinating complex character, she is "stuck" now.

Minorin fake cheerful self is counterproductive despite her inherent kindness, she is seeing a future beyond relationships despite her feelings for Ryuji. Her semi ignorance of his feeling after the Christmas episode is major negative point to me and I actually agrees with Ami's anger towards her. It looks like she is trying wriggle her way out from this by do nothing. This is worst thing a person can do in my opinion. Minorin is another lonely girl but she covering it up with her antics with propensity to run away from any emotional conflicts if she sees fit. Or do nothing. She is not mature and selfish, certainly leaving people on the lurch but quick to anger if these being pointed out. On good side though, she is a loyal friend.

This leads to serious emotional catfight between 2 while Taiga is stumbling towards Ryuji in steady pace.

Highlights of final volume 10




1.Ryuuji and Taiga run off
2.They fall into the river, lots of stuff happen (first kiss), and having nowhere else to go, they end up at Ami's house
3.They decide they should talk to their parents once and split up
4.They meet at school and escape
5.They go to Yasuko's parents' home and convince them to forgive her
6. Ryuuji and Yasuko make up
7. Deep kiss between Taiga and Ryuuji
8.Taiga says goodbye to Ryuuji and goes to her mother
9.The new semester begins and Taiga returns to Ryuuji
10. They got engaged and getting married after graduation.

Ryuji ending thought is that he wants to spend his lifetime with Taiga as married couple.

Yes they (Ryuji and Taiga) have sex in this novel.

PS: The author hinted that she is taking a break then might write some side stories on ToraDora if she feels up to it.
