QUOTE(infrasonic @ Mar 19 2013, 03:26 PM) haha, i'm using aluminium wire here..another alternative is copper wire, but i don't seem to see it in the shop around btw, i never thought wiring could be so hard. my first time wiring last time took me more than 1 and a half hour it must be hard is there any "pantang larang" should we obey during wiring?

QUOTE(Bonsailelong @ Mar 19 2013, 05:48 PM) Hi anevilx, welcome There is no rules on wiring and bending of your tree. But is whether your tree can take the wiring and bending or not? If you over bend the trunk or branches of your tree, you will hear cracking sound and... Steel wire is not advisable to be used because it will rust. Aluminium wire is recommended not only it won't rust but also easy to unwire when your tree trunk has grown tight. Cucur attap is quite a delicate to handle if your are a beginner. I'll say you should go for some easy species like Wrighthia "sui mui" ficus or boxwood which is much cheaper to begin with. wow..thx for the info. Now i understand why the aluminum is always being advised. Just asking, how much can we get a boxwood from nursery? bcoz i afraid someone will sell it overprice when they knwo i am the super noob in bonsai-ing.. thx yo

QUOTE(Bonsailelong @ Jul 24 2013, 09:52 PM) ...a small bonsai gonna be... A good strong root ball. owh nice explanation! I dun think my baby have that kind of ball yet. some thing happened last evening when I am trying to bend the small tree (to look for suitable position to wired it up). suddenly there is a crack sound..and..its broken.. but I believe she will survive.
