This 2 black pine (most likely Chinese) bought from Min Ho Yuen sometimes early February this year . Some styling were done to them when they were brought home. After 3 months, these black pines shown remarkable adaptation to new environment, new candles and needles grow out well. And so I decided to give them some shaping improvement ... After making many considerations of which candle to cut and 4 hours of careful wiring and hard bending works... At least look more like bonsai now. Placed back to the same location. QUOTE(Bonsailelong @ Apr 29 2013, 09:38 PM) Hi Alvchin, Not bad even without the dead wood. It will be better if your cucur attap can have some foliage ramification works. My cucur atap had been unhealthy for a while. That's y I decided to dig right up to the root. The soil did not have much drainage I guess which causes the bottom to rot. Didn't have much roots actually. I hope it'll survive. |

If you have bought your cucur attap from Sanfong, you can notice that all Sanfong's cucur attap are planted with sand. |

QUOTE(Alvchin @ Apr 30 2013, 09:38 AM) Oh you guys go Melaka often? How much actually Sg Buloh selling? I was there at the kusta side last Saturday, didn't notice any. But I had a quick one. As far as I know, the only plant nursery selling black pine in Sg Buloh is the one beside the high way heading towards K Selangor. Chinese name - AH Sui Bonsai Nursery. The range of price from rm400 to 1k. But the black pine there are seasoned and get use to our weather and already got initial styling. You are always welcome to join in to go to Melaka. Ming Ho Yuen is a nice pleasant place to visit. |
