CM sphere is the sux big time. Even the cheapo artic freezer can outperform it. This cooler was made for its looking only, not performance. shakehead.gif

Never buy any entry-level water cooler.never!.. Pricey but so-so performance only. Even a sub RM150 hsf cooler is waayyyy better than this.

hm.. i've using it for 1 year..buy it from moderno...

firts time i used it with Athlon X2 3800+ with vista ultimate ...temp around 40 - 50 only

Now using phenom cannot maintain temp. like previous. Now min temp around 55 - 58 degree...so hot..
after 3 days run 24 hours i notice temp become 75 degree doh.gif ... when check back amount of coolant reduce so fast..only 3 day become half of it.

now going to have custom wc, to solve my cpu n gpu temp issue. that cooler master set will be modified to become custom too tongue.gif

lolz okie, oh yeah, maintain your airflow of casing arranging your wires well, u dont have to sleeve though. USe some zipties and work around the grooves of your casing and tie it up, maintain a open space as much u can. Aircooling, this is crucial .

CM = Cooler Master rite laugh.gif just want to make sure.. i would suggest Z600, Hyper 212 or the Gemini.

Hyper212 works fine with Duallie
Gemini from what i have heard works well with Quaddies
Z600, reviews sound good.

using AC instead of WC is a bit of pain. Before this I also use AC like CM Hyper UC. the problem is, its mounting style cause we need to take out mobo when we're going to open that cooler. sad.gif

tired of doing that i change to Cm aquagate. that fan i sold it. Using WC make maintenance easy, just clean at the rad and fan only laugh.gif

If we keep to many dust stick at the fan and HS, cooling effectiveness will drop.

if ur house always dusty, n u r a lazy man, just spent some money for budget WC la...laugh.gif

Most generic brands doing WC dont give you what you need, performance. Yes you might see a little bit of difference, but for the price you pay, its worthwhile getting hooked to Air Cooling instead. Also do remember that when u start indulging into performance computing, you rather have cuztom makes. Having maintain a Cuztom made, as a newb can be a pain. smile.gif

anyone using CM Hyper 212 with E8400?

can i know what is your temp at idle and load? (pls state whether u OC or not.otherwise,no reason to compare. >.<

mine is E8400 C0 (385*9 at 1.28V) :

Load 100% = CPU 47C
= CORES 65-67C

Idle = CPU 33C
= CORES 55-56C

well, i'm currently using CM's hyper 212. bcuz of the limitations of my mobo, i have to change the fan's position pushing air to the front rather than the rear like normally. sweat.gif

here's the temp reading in 3.39GHz idle, under load is approximately around 60~68'C only.

here's my hyper 212, ignore the dusts.... tongue.gif

wif it's price under RM200, u'll get quite a performer here. not to mention if u set 2 high speed fans, the cooling effect will be more effective for sure icon_rolleyes.gif

Your fan wrong direction, should suck out from heatsink and go out of casing, not blow into casing...

i'm aware of tat, i alr stated in my post tat it's bcuz of my mobo limitations. to be exact the RAM slots is conflicting wif the cooler n fan itself. wink.gif

no choice but to assemble it backwards but still the temp is quite good. smile.gif

cooler master hyper z600 reporting in~!!!

max temp is for linx 1536mb stress test tongue.gif, prime95 stress test is as shown on the pic smile.gif

heatsink setting is push pull config biggrin.gif

thermal paste cooler master nanofusion+z600 stock thermal ( nanofusion finish de, have to mix sad.gif )

at 3.6ghz, i get 73c for core#1&2, and 68c for core#3&4 on linx, but prime95 definitely lower smile.gif

if only i have more nanofusion left, might be able to spread it more even around the cooler and get lower temp, maybe like core#3&4 T_T

he he,O.K,i will let u know later,
before that, let me give u to look at my scary temperature.
tested for 10minutes.
Attached Image

hot...hot...hot...
seem that Cooler Master Mars don't give any advantage to my proc.
at idle temperature,Mars was enough to cover the temp, but not for OCed, i thought.
but i wonder maybe the temperature hit the 70 number coz i use bundle CM thermalpaste sweat.gif .

No doubt V8 at RM 210 from rockrock.

V8 has better support of up to 180W processor.

And is quite silent too.

v10 not quite good if u wanted to upgrade ur ram..
it cover all rams..unless u use casing that has hole to change hsf..
it price also too expensive..about rm459 i think.. sweat.gif

hyper 212 is quite good but not the best..
i use it on my phenom 9550..
idle temp = 45c-47c
load temp =55c

but it is better compared to stock cooler..
if u use stock cooler
idle = 52c
load = 60c

for my opinion, get v8 or something same with it if u want cooler temp..
