I'm doing a survey for my upcoming article which I'm writing on Spotgamers about Dota vs MMORPG. I want to know why do you play dota or and not MMORPG. I want to hear your opinions. What gets you hooked to the game. You contribution will be a great help to me as well as the community. Thanks

There is a lot of difference between a MMORPG and plain ol Dota. You can't call that a survey if you ask generalised question such as that You need to be more specific. Do some research first about both these and come out with questions to gauge user sentiments.

BTW MMORPG is a genre and Dota is a mod...you are comparing two very different things...take note.

if you dont realise that Dota is only a custom map in W3, then u have already fail. Comparing a custom map to a whole genre is like taking a grape n comparing it to a durian.

it would sound better if u compare - Custom Maps(Dota, TD, etc) vs. Regular w3

Limited functions if you dont pay for most MMORPG. And having to pay to play of course

I prefer those games that don't need to buy reload or make payment. In this case, I prefer Warcraft.

You do realise you have to buy Warcraft 3 and its expansion right? That includes making a payment for the game.
