Hi all,
I am just wondering, how many of you do housework at home? I stay with my parents and we do not have a maid, so I will do all the laundry for the family. I also help out my parents on the dishes after every meal. The most tiring for me is washing the curtains, after wash its so heavy to hang up to dry... luckily its only once a month!

Share some story about when you do household chore, anything interesting happens?

clearing the weed afoung the house small garden.

gardening. i hate it. pluck weeds is tiring. i dun mind water plants.

watering the plant is the basic ...
morning once evening once!
washing own cloths.
sweeping the room and pariking lot!
lolz....

somestime helping family members cooking !

me wash dish and sweep&mop floor, clean up dogs poop/pee, and emm nth else

I do!
Well, daily sweep and mop the floor twice, hand wash clothes daily, wash bathroom after shower each time, clean up kitchen each time after prepare meal

Sun bath all my soft toys weekly, bed sheet change weekly, gardening is about every two days, curtain is every 2 weeks need to change
Mirror those is around every 2 days have to clean it. So basically, everyday also house work!

Thanks god, my house don't have garden, if not i have to clear the weed too >.<

I enjoy to clean the weed, well, kinda nice feeling and fun too!
Heck, may be just me crazy over to do things like this

i hate it when chinese new year is coming, have to move out everything and clean up, the most tiring house chore i had

one round with detergent

one round with dettol

one round with plain water (maybe twice if deem suitable)

then 1 week no need to mop ^^

orh.. mine is 3days once >.<

I have maid at home. But i do my own ironing and washing of kai kai clothing!
I dun trust my maid in ironing my clothes...

i dun trust my maid in cooking >_< and carin for baby...

the baby is not mine, its my aunts... meaning my cousin. @_@

Back to the topic, i wash dishes, mop the floors, cook and wash laundry... what to do.... since so free......

chores is actually quite a good exercise. Well if married d of cos the hubby will help out in doing the chores together, no such things as a lady can do all the chores alone.
i can't too, i can't wash car, i can't clean the fan, i can't clean the light bulks n etc
basic thing like wash laundry, sweep,mop , clean up as in the sense of clear off the dust n dirts are actually quite simple and easy
once u do it daily, it will be a habit n good exercise.

if a girl, can only do chores for the bf for short term then wat about after married?

i onli wash my own clothes n clean the dishes once a week. too tired cuz most of the times i'm pack wif my job on weekdays. i hv to do it onli on weekends. i fold the whole family clothes sometimes on weekdays if too many. cuz none of my family mbr willing to do so. my mum is too tired working. my sis is too lazy. my dad not even 1 2 comment about him. last time got maid still ok now no more. onli got 1 indo maid comes to my house once a week. but she's just doing normal cleaning like sweeping, moping tats all.

hehehe..i stay alone in da house..so housework normally do by myself..moping,cleaning,washing and cooking..all do by myself... @.@" ....

i dun do any housechores at hme i only sometimes happy help wash dishes .. help my mum go market

almost twice a week i go my bf hse n clean up .. impress what you guys do at hme perhaps must learn to be housewife alr..

for bf, no matter how tired or lazy also i will do...

I stay myself. I dun mop. I take a bucket of water, pour it all over, and leave it to dry. It leaves nice polka dot pattern after it dried.

Household chores difficult by level:

1. Sweep floor
2. Keep your own desk
3. Wash plates
4. Mop floor
5. Wash clothes
6. Iron clothes

Which one you hate most?

I think I hate keeping my own desk most cos Im lazy to tidy my stuff.

washing clothes is the easiet...cause the machine does it...
but ironing is really tiring...working clothes and going out clothes...

i dont sweep, just vacuum and mop

Is there a necessity to mop after vacuum seriously?

I found out after vacuum, my floor is very clean and there's no need for mop....

iron clothes most diff ba ..

wow. this is the most mopping round i have ever heard.

i only mop once, every week. cz staying in condo.

clean toilet once a week oso. but, sweep the floor everyday.

usually i will mop...cause after mopping the floor feels much cleaner...but i mop one round only with a bit of detergent...and only mop once a week..hehe

wow you still have time to sweep the floor everyday? usually when i get home, i will be too lazy to do anything else

i sometimes back home oso kinda lazy to do anything but then need to do still canot make myself lazy

I do everything by myself. Buy, cook, wash, clean, mop everything. Yes, it is tiring.

Wash Porch, car, mop floor, sweep floor, wash kitchen, toilet, laundry, recycle trash.....zzzzzzzzzZZZzzzzzzzz

i enjoy it and love the clean feeling after that..

hated most is gardening... watering i dun mind..

once a while will clear the store room, though it never seem to be emptied...

Cause my sister gave birth dy, and she now stay with us..
So have to take care my little nephew for her .. So busy

i do ironing every day cos hand wash my clothes daily
so then whenever my clothes r done, if those need to be iron then ron

my mum does all the house chores, i normally just sit at the corner and teman+kacau her only,hehe. but i wash my own clothes which cannot be machine washed..yeah i think tat's the only chore i do. im gona be a BAD housewife rite?

i like guys tat can do chores,eg wash n iron their own clothes, clean bathroom, etc n also help around. if can do basic cooking lagi bagus... tat shows independency. i like it!

That only shows you can't be dependent on those chores...

Next time my children must start train them since small.... No excuses

I'm into house chores also
I clean my room everyday,mop here and there since the air outside makes my room very dusty and so now I prevent to open the window so often

I have to iron all the clothes including brothers' school uniforms,they are way too lazy to do this on their own
But well,once you have get used of doing house chores I think you won't feel that bad unless the chores is really too much burden to you lor

Doing house chores is something good also.At least you learn how to handle things on own and indirectly it teaches you to become more independent and self-aware of your own capabilities on handling tasks

i usually will do together with my partner.

Because 2 person do is faster than 1 struggling.

Yup, hearing advice from others always sounds better than from parents...

the problem i face is, they all claim tat im too fussy on cleanliness

well, I sweep and mop twice per day, really can't stand dust, I feel its' so disgusting.
I guess I'm a little too fussy in that in the end all complain about me, tried to not to be so fussy already but then I think the basic chores I don't think I can just ignore. Indeed I spend more time to do chores compare to others, but enjoy doing it very much. Daily wake up at 5am to do chores and get it all completed in 2 hours, just make me feel so happy. Not tired also, after work come back at night spend 1 hour for it again. I feel it's just alright for me. Guess, that's just me

Well, I can bake cakes, all different type of cakes, can make muffins, bread, egg tarts, and kinda lot more.
How about you name it then I tell you do I know or not?

i always have trouble controling the oven, my cake always outside hangus but inside still raw

or when i take the sake out from the oven, the cake got hole in the middle, like from big turn flat

i experienced that before, some time its the way u mix the flour
i phailed for 7 times only now i hav no prob in baking

Mops and sweep the floor everyday
Wash dishes after every meal
Cleans poop and pees and bath the dogs
Wipe sofa, household stuff
Hang n dry da clothes and fold clothes..

Its quite enjoyable doing all this cos i owes on my radio and while doing the hsework i sing as well
