why prizes so lousy for CoD4 one? haiz...reserve one slot for CoD4 la...

i just suggesting cos from the looks of the new ruleset is adapting the international ruleset so i just gave the updated stuff. Sorry if i offended anyone with that comment.

perk 1 is 100% bandy edi...why cannot use claymores or c4? without clays and c4, bomb squad auto-negates, so we only can use bandy? but srsly, why would i need 180 bullets in SnD ? too many do's and dont's, im not sure if i breathe also can or not.

weapons also limited, perks lagi limited, mode no choice. registration very expensive relative to prizes given....

and i must add, Sky is a horrible place to have a competition. Yes, you can replace mouse and keyboard with ur own....but the screen? too small. CPU - too laggy, graphics not good.

Because we have voted and the majority of us would prefer Malaysian rules. Don't worry, if your team is good enough, it doesn't matter what ruleset the organizers are using because your skill will shine through. =) There's still the WGT later on and if [XEF] would like to organize a tourney with international rules, I'm sure most of us will be there. =) Cheers.

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say here. A lot of tournaments use international rules? Cool. I didn't say otherwise. Uh, I want to point out that you highlighted CGS who play CS:S, not CoD4. The list is pretty, though. ^^

CGS 'tests' CoD4 with the UK's largest ever prize

The Championship Gaming Series will host a Call of Duty 4 tournament at the United Kingdom and European Combine event, the qualifier and draft event held at Europe's largest LAN centre in Birmingham, England.

The CoD4 tournament will run alongside the official CGS event, where the four European franchises (London Mint, Birmingham Salvo, Stockholm Magnetik and Berlin Allianz) will be deciding who represents both the European and UK regions in the world finals held later this year.

The event seems to be spear headed by Birmingham Salvo manager Michael "ODEE" Odell, the former Dignitas manager who was known to be a keen Call of Duty supporter (and player), and has taken it upon himself to attempt and lower the age restriction (18 year old) thought to be applied to the competition, though details remain sparse at this point.

The event will take place over the weekend of 17-18th May and will be restricted to thirty two teams, where teams will be have to apply online. It's not known whether the CGS will employ a first come first serve policy or whether they're going to give preferential treatment to top European teams who've just over two weeks until the event starts.

The CGS event surpasses the prize money total set by Multiplay with their i33 tournament (€12,784 compared to Multiplay's €12,000) held at the end of March, subsequently won by Dignitas with the Meet Your Makers (former The Last Resort) side coming in second. The event spreads the prize winnings much more generously among the lower placing teams and combined with the age issues, may force the event into an all British affair.

From the list you highlighted, it clearly states CSS in brackets. =/ I didn't know CGS would be having CoD4. Anyway, no use debating. If YOU feel that international rules clearly are better for the Malaysian CoD4 scene, then YOU should lobby for it more vigorously. We've had our say in the matter, and the organizers have changed the RnR to suit the majority. When the next tourney comes along, you're more than welcome to say what you need to say to the organizers. Fair? =)

All you quoted here use different rules. Same mods and different rules.
Please DO NOT confuse mods with rules = rules = server settings,
mods usually use PAM4.

WGT and WCG Singapore rules were modified PAM4 Promod Rules.. You weren't there to set up the servers.
WGT Indonesia also uses modified "international rules", rounds are different
Majority of Eu use different sets of rules, only the TWL league stays the same. TWL is an online league.
NA uses different rule sets - 1vs3, 1vs2
US usually uses Default Classes
SKOTH used different RULES - if you noticed, 8 perks are enabled
Australian Cyber League also have their rules modified to fit THEIR community

Are you sure you're part of the growth of the community or are you thinking about yourself?
Whoever set up those leagues were thinking big, true. But so are we. Most malaysians are kiasu when it comes to competitions, that is why we need to keep it fun for now.
The rule changes are to slingshot the teams who play here towards WGT, which rules are yet to be confirmed.

That was what i suggested and applied to the server settings. but some people are just not satisfied. I am thoroughly dissapointed. Firstly.. if you ACTUALLY READ THE FREGGIN R&R...

Rule Changes:

� Teams are responsible to check the rules on a regular basis and prior to every match to ensure they are in complete compliance. Teams must understand that rules listed are guidelines to ensure fair and competitive play and are subject to interpretation by the administrators based on the spirit of the game.

The first few times i felt bad, simply because XEF has been around for so long, your participation over the months of competitive play had earned my respect. But when you become a nuisance and not justify it convincingly, without purpose and without rationale, you become an enemy of the community, you make me an enemy and an enemy you shall have.

I hope you all have fun. I despise fighting over petty things, when everything was already settled.
Ultimately, you have never been in the organizers shoes, all you do is complain when things dont go right.
So if things dont go right here or if things dont start on time, please dont complain, they tried their best, you made it worse.
