hye,

I m duno y i m facing this. since yest when i start my laptop it ashow plz activate your windows. 7 days remaining. bt then when i click ok.. it says your windows is activated. click finish.
tis process repaet again n again every time i restart my laptop.

y this happen????

a newly bought laptop?activate for 1st time or what?more details plz.such as the activation is done by urself?or its a OEM version?

my vista got this problem also, once i installed the SP1 pack, it call me to activate, but i check status, it said activated, is it because of the SP1 installation?, so did you install XP SP3?

i m using XP. Yeah i using SP3. wats teh solution for it. i jz reformat my latop myself.. n i did sum editing to the registry to skip the activation. tongue.gif

if you have original license, you don't have to edit registry to skip the activation..

Me too format with original XP home SP2 then window update to SP3.

For Vista, It's a bug. Call Microsoft and get it activated. They provide free support for Vista SP1 until March 09.

Unless you're using pirated then sendiri mau ingat...

Free, unlimited installation and compatibility support is now available for customers using Windows Vista SP1, until March 18, 2009.

People like you give Malaysia a bad name...and the above is not fool proof, it will revert upon next SP install etc...

I don't think your telling us the truth. If your using original version of XP, updated to SP3, I doubt you'll be editing registry keys to skip any activation which is not only risky but illegal.
