all of us who moved to Firmware 2.0 do have this problem right. When you plug in your iPhone to your computer, it'll take forever to backup the iPhone. It is actually due to the weird feature of new iTunes 7.7 which will backup your iPhone every time the iPhone is connected.
I've found somewhere in this forum, a code to disable the backing up thing. But today I've found an even easier way to disable the backing up process, thus making you sync with iTunes running smoothly.
For those who afraid of using Terminal or want something easier, this is it. Someone named Holtman created a tiny software just to disable the backup feature in iTunes. So if you hate the backing up thing so much like I do, go and download this tiny little app here.
