I don't think changing the product code has anything to do with this. I've changed mine before updating. It happened once to me where it asked me to take out the battery. After that, I re-updated it, everything went on well.

I suppose the phone would not be able to turn on if it is bricked.

I've got no idea on what's going on with yours. Is it still on firmware V20? I've read in other forums that some phones update till they've got 2 mins remaining then it gives some sort of message, in short, NSU says it is not updated, but when they checked the *#0000#, phone was already updated to V30

The Garmin pictures/icons can be deleted.. It'll still work.. I've deleted mine

For Voice Files, I think you have to download the support files found on Garmin's website.

Strange.. yours is the second case here, which keeps on getting the phone recovery error.

It has minor improvements for me. Camera starts up faster and the ASR works better.

So far I have not experienced any bugs just yet.

The files shoyld be put into the private folder I put mine on the memory card. Make sure that you copy the whole 101f9cfe folder into the private folder.

skinning is known as putting on those stickers on the whole phone they can be plain or with designs.
