Don't worry. Backup your phone 1st before upgrade. I just update but according to nokia forumer, they claimed there is some improvement of battery life. I will be glad if the battery life improve! I guess everyone else too.

me too..i scared bricking the phone... im nw outside Malaysia.. if bricked..have to send back to malaysia.. ZZZ.. Btw any1 get a msg asking u to take out batt and then put it back and plug in charger when updating?

Added on September 24, 2008, 6:54 pmNo. The update process should be very smooth.
1) Plug in through USB cable as PC Suite. Remember set Profile to General !!!
2) Run NSU
3) Make sure battery is fully charged and charger is not plugged into N82
4) Follow instruction, download, wait... make sure no one touch the PC, N82 or blackout/power failure (pray)
5) Let the app auto-upgrade firmware by itself
6) Reboot phone automatically and all done. No user interaction needed once download starts.

I tried the menus and view-map in landscape mode. No problem and looks quite nice. Have not try navigating yet.

hey anywhere to find the exact garmin free gps software?..tried to search around but cant find it...

how to update to GMXT 5.00.00? it looks nice man

damn..i copy gmxt 5 into memory card & put back into my set,it wont auto install but asked me weather wanna launch garmin,so i press ok..and everything inside screw up..the icons & theres an error saying pls do not remove map when updating..
