Am putting out an S.O.S on behalf of a friend. His elderly mum is in SJMC now and has used up the hospital's last pint of B- blood and she requires more transfusion. Unfortunately, me and spouse are both B+.

if you are O negative you can donate, negative blood types can only take negative. positives can take both negative and positive.
