QUOTE(mushroom055 @ May 6 2009, 09:28 PM)
Gua Gua Le Fraud Syndicate!!!

tmd i cant believe this time i am the victim of 'gua gua le'!!
I should have realized this at the beginning! Why was I so stupid! damn
I am revealing the whole process of how I was cheated by those cunning people so that there will be no more victims and these ppl cant survive by cheating our money!
I was walking from sg wang plaza to Times Square with my fren this afternoon when a teenager stopped me and passed me a 'voucher' and I was so 'lucky' that I won the 'big prize'!
Then those people congratulated me with super exaggerated expression and asked me to go to the main office to claim my prize. The prizes include some cars, electrical appliances and trips to Bali, Turkey etc.
We took a taxi to the office in Kuchai Lama, 2nd floor of the shop house just right to 7-Eleven. Beware! This might be just one of their lairs.
The boy led me to the manager and he explained the terms and conditions to me and showed me some photos of people winning 'big prizes' including some celebrities and public figures.
Actually I felt rather suspicious from the very beginning but i think as long as they dun ask us to pay for anything then it should be ok.
Then came the money part. The manager explained to us that whatever prizes I won I would need to pay government taxes of RM1200 except for those trips which are exchangable with cash.
They asked me to withdraw the money from the Hong Leong Bank next to their company and they would record the serial number of the notes. Thinking back I have no idea why they need to do so. I should have sensed something wrong!
They got me signed some documents to prove my willingness to enter the deal. I found a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes on the so called 'contract'. and I should have be more suspicious towards the manager coz he claimed that he graduated from NTU but his English sucks! totally 'cannot make it'!
And so, while one of the people was recording the serial numbers, my 'big prize voucher' was scanned and i got the most useless and unpractical thing on the list of prizes, the jade mattress! The person recording the serial numbers disappeared while he was still recording halfway with my money!
I was so despair about winning the totally useless thing. Looking back now, they seemed to have expected me to win the stupid jade mattress. This was a snare!
They took a picture of me and the boy with the 'big prize' and claimed that they will publish it on local newspapers as a company promotion. WTF!
Sometimes I really cant stand my 'naivety'! I always kena cheated by the sweet-talk of those promoters and salesman and waste unnecessary money. I wont be so stupid anymore after this painful incident.
I feel so sorry for my money now. they should have been spent somewhere else but not in the hands of this fraud syndicate!
So everyone pls beware!! Dun trust anyone trying to feed you with free lunch!! There is no free lunch in this world!!
*
Just went thru this the other day. Was on my way for a quick dinner and get some stuff before my futsal game. This teenager approached me and offered me a voucher. I did not win the prize at 1st and he offered me a second one saying its his last one and gave it to me so he can go home. Guess what? it was the special prize. Then a group of them swarmed me to congratulate me like some poorly coordinated act. So went over to their office and was told to pay RM5k so i can get my prize. I lied that i have no cash and i did not bring my credit card. They even offered to pay half for me and also offered for me to pay a RM100 deposit to hold onto my card. I don't even have RM100 on me that moment and even that they offered to pay for me first. I was tempted at first but know full well that nothing comes free. I just played along and see what the have to offer. Every single thing they said is contradicting even the receipt bearing their company name is not the same as who they claim to be.

I do not pity those who fell for this trick as you only have yourself to blame for letting your greed get the better of your conscience. Too bad the government can't do anything to them as stated above, they are not doing any illegal business.

Hey ppls! I just found out from my grandma today that few days ago, an indian guy with a car came to my house and pretend to be some customer service guy, holding one cpu. He was wearing some shirt with a number tag(to pretend that he is indeed a worker). During that time, only my grandma is at home. So that ba5tard keep insisting her to come out OPEN THE DOOR to take the cpu. You guys get the drift dont you? Obviously its a trick trying to make my grandma open the door and boom, robbing spree. My grandma recall that none of us told her about this cpu thing, so she just didnt want to open the door. Guys, tell your parents and families about this, never ever let anyone in even if they claim that they are here to return things etc!

This incident happened at SRI HARTAMAS!.

Note: No racial discrimination intended here. Just stating the occured incident.

To Be or Not To Be by W.Shakespear ; Hamlet

To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them. To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache, and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: aye, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscover'd country from whose bourn
No traveler returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action.

Ducks Quack, Eagles Soar‏

"If you don't learn to laugh at trouble, you won't have anything to
laugh at when you are old."

Ducks Quack, Eagles Soar........ ......... ....

No one can make you serve customers well.

That's because great service is a choice.

Harvey Mackay, tells a wonderful story about a cab driver that proved
this point.

He was waiting in line for a ride at the airport. When a cab pulled up,
the first thing Harvey noticed was that the taxi was polished to a
bright shine. Smartly dressed in a white shirt, black tie, and freshly
pressed black slacks, the cab driver jumped out and rounded the car to
open the back passenger door for Harvey .

He handed my friend a laminated card and said:

'I'm Wally, your driver. While I'm loading your bags in the trunk I'd
like you to read my mission statement.'

Taken aback, Harvey read the card. It said:

Wally's Mission Statement:

To get my customers to their destination in the quickest, safest and
cheapest way possible in a friendly environment.

This blew Harvey away. Especially when he noticed that the inside of the
cab matched the outside. Spotlessly clean!

As he slid behind the wheel, Wally said, 'Would you like a cup of
coffee? I have a thermos of regular and one of decaf.'

My friend said jokingly, 'No, I'd prefer a soft drink.'

Wally smiled and said, 'No problem. I have a cooler up front with
regular and Diet Coke, water and orange juice.'

Almost stuttering, Harvey said, 'I'll take a Diet Coke.'

Handing him his drink, Wally said, 'If you'd like something to read, I
have The Wall Street Journal, Time, Sports Illustrated and USA Today.'

As they were pulling away, Wally handed my friend another laminated
card. 'These are the stations I get and the music they play, if you'd
like to listen to the radio.'

And as if that weren't enough, Wally told Harvey that he had the air
conditioning on and asked if the temperature was comfortable for him.
Then he advised Harvey of the best route to his destination for that
time of day. He also let him know that he'd be happy to chat and tell
him about some of the sights or, if Harvey preferred, to leave him with
his own thoughts.

'Tell me, Wally,' my amazed friend asked the driver, 'have you always
served customers like this?'

Wally smiled into the rear view mirror. 'No, not always. In fact, it's
only been in the last two years. My first five years driving, I spent
most of my time complaining like all the rest of the cabbies do. Then I
heard the personal growth guru, Wayne Dyer, on the radio one day.

He had just written a book called You'll See It When You Believe It.
Dyer said that if you get up in the morning expecting to have a bad day,
you'll rarely disappoint yourself. He said, 'Stop complaining!
Differentiate yourself from your competition. Don't be a duck. Be an
eagle. Ducks quack and complain. Eagles soar above the crowd.''

'That hit me right between the eyes,' said Wally. 'Dyer was really
talking about me. I was always quacking and complaining, so I decided
to change my attitude and become an eagle. I looked around at the
other cabs and their drivers. The cabs were dirty, the drivers were
unfriendly, and the customers were unhappy. So I decided to make some
changes. I put in a few at a time. When my customers responded well, I
did more.'

'I take it that has paid off for you,' Harvey said.

'It sure has,' Wally replied. 'My first year as an eagle, I doubled my
income from the previous year. This year I'll probably quadruple it.
You were lucky to get me today. I don't sit at cabstands anymore. My
customers call me for appointments on my cell phone or leave a message
on my answering machine. If I can't pick them up myself, I get a
reliable cabbie friend to do it and I take a piece of the action.'

Wally was phenomenal. He was running a limo service out of a Yellow
Cab. I've probably told that story to more than fifty cab drivers over
the years, and only two took the idea and ran with it. Whenever I go
to their cities, I give them a call. The rest of the drivers quacked
like ducks and told me all the reasons they couldn't do any of what I
was suggesting.

Wally the Cab Driver made a different choice. He decided to stop
quacking like ducks and start soaring like eagles.

How about us?

Smile, and the whole world smiles with you.....The
ball is in our hands!

Since I came across this thread, I just want to comment and say that robberies had become so rampant recently. Even worse, the robbers would usually hurt their victims first just to immobilise them. The recent stories of the pregnant ladies being killed while being robbed on their bikes are saddening and brings much anger to my heart against those BL00DY robbers and murderers. I guess one lesson learnt here for all bikers is NOT to carry any handbags or things that may be snatched by these robbers on bikes!

Anyway, just want to share a few events with you that happened to my cousin and friend:

1) Last Tuesday (5th May 09), my cousin had just returned to his home at Sri Damansara at around 9.15pm. When he got off his car to walk towards his gate to close it (it was manual gate), there was two motorbikes that just stopped infront of his house and four guys with parangs attacked him. One of the guys slashed him in the left shoulder with the parang and he was bleeding alot.

As he realised these ppl meant to harm him and would get into his hse where his wife was, he immediately feared for his life and the safety of his wife. He fought back fiercely and managed to bring one of the assailants to the ground and kicked him. However, a second guy came and slashed him in the head! From all the fighting, he realised only 1 guy was standing there and giving instructions to the other three. He was like the leader and telling them what to do. Suddenly, he shouted 'Bunuh dia' few times and this caused even greater fear to my cousin and his wife. Upon hearing this, he fought even harder for his life and thank God...they suddenly decided to leave when the supposed leader said it was enough and to leave.

They left on their bikes and my cousin was then rushed to the Gleneagles hospital for treatment. He was left with 11 stitches on his shoulder and two screws to hold his shoulder bone together...a part of his shoulder bone was chipped off! sad.gif His head sustained 12 stitches! The doctors said he was extremely lucky as he could have lost his left ear and eye as the slash was near there. The shoulder wound was also inches from his neck and major arteries...if it severed any of these...he would have lost his life!

Thank God my cousin is safe and recovering now. Just want to warn all you ppl that these robbers are cruel and they will not hesitate to hurt anyone or even KILL for that matter. They have no heart and feelings! Those ppl with manual gates, we were told that next time...we should reverse our cars in as this will give us a better view of our surroundings when pulling into the house. Also, if anyone stops infront of the hse...we can see clearly and just drive through them for quick escape! (These was some tips given to us by the police and others) - BEST is to invest on auto-gate!

2) Last month at Cheras (forgot which Taman behind Phoenix Plaza), my friend's sister just returned home at 7pm. She was opening her gate when suddenly a bike appeared behind her. She just turned around to look and was immediately slashed by the pillion rider. They took her handbag and left her bleeding profusely and in shock.

She had 8 stitches on her left side of the face, near the ear! Her hand was also severed cut and needed operation. She received 9 stitches to the hand.

These thieves said nothing and just slashed her immediately! She had no idea what exactly happened and was in shock. All she remembered is that she heard a bike behind her...she turned around and a parang came to her face and hand! sad.gif

D@MN ALL THESE RUTHLESS THIEVES!!! mad.gif

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.

I nearly got robbed today, i walked out to nearby Taman Connaught to buy some foods coz my house isn't really that far from the main streets.

This is the second time i have such narrow luck, previously i nearly got robbed at the same place but its during night, today it's in the noon, same scene, two guys, rempit kids on one average rempits modded tayar sotong kapchai bike shouted " APA !? " at me when i just took one second of look at them.
Luckly, again my house is just a few ten meters away and i ran back as fast as i could. I reached back before they reached me, and they just zoom pass me hopelessly staring at me with rage.

The housing area are no longer safe for walks, just today i choose to walk over driving and it nearly costs me my life. How am i supposed to save fuel for better place to live in and these monkeys are forcing me to drive ? lol.

Well, i'm gonna get some mace with me all the time, can't take the risks.

Last night, my friend dropped by her mother's hse at Jln Ipoh. She had just arrived and stopped infront of the house.

Two motorcycles with four guys pulled beside her car and smashed her left window to take her handbag that was left on the passenger seat. They sped off with her handbag containing an iPhone, housekeys, personal documents, etc.

Some fragments of the broken glass hit her face and caused two holes near her lips. She required two stitches to close up those holes. D@MN those robbers!

Another good example and lesson to be learnt...NEVER leave any valuables on the passenger seat. Always keep your handbags, laptop bags, etc away from sight..such as under your car seat or boot.

hmm... this one is not really a crime, but something almost happened... i was driving alone on jalan ipoh heading north when suddenly i realised there were 2 motorcycles riding at constant speed beside me. one of them ride alone, the other bike got 2 people. all males. so i got worried and i increased my speed a bit, and just as i thought, they also speed up and stay close to me. the pillion rider then started to stare at me while their bike is getting nearer to my car. it's like they're gonna do something. so i braked hard and they had to go the front cos a bike cant brake suddenly in the middle of the road on the congested jalan ipoh. luckily the car behind was kinda slow and he was pretty far from my car, or else he would've kissed my bumper. as the bikes went far ahead, i can see the pillion rider turning his head and he kept on looking at me, like he was unsatisfied. maybe it was nothing after all, but i thought that was kinda scary. if the worst thing happened, i'll just run over them i guess...

A VERY INTERESTING CONVERSATION (u can change the christian into any other relegion or faith)

An Atheist Professor of Philosophy was speaking to his Class on the Problem Science has
With GOD , the ALMIGHTY. He asked one of his New Christian Students to stand and . . .

Professor : You are a Christian, aren't you, son ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor : So, you Believe in GOD ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor : Is GOD Good ?
Student : Sure.
Professor : Is GOD ALL - POWERFUL ?
Student : Yes.
Professor : My Brother died of Cancer even though he Prayed to GOD to Heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn't. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

(Student was silent )

Professor : You can't answer, can you ? Let's start again, Young Fella.
Is GOD Good?
Student : Yes.
Professor : Is Satan good ?
Student : No.
Professor : Where does Satan come from ?
Student : From . . . GOD . . .
Professor : That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this World?
Student : Yes.
Professor : Evil is everywhere, isn't it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?
Student : Yes.
Professor : So who created evil ?

(Student did not answer)

Professor : Is there Sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness?
All these terrible things exist in the World, don't they?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor : So, who Created them ?

(Student ha d no answer)

Professor : Science says you have 5 Senses you use to Identify and Observe the World around you. Tell me, son . . . Have you ever Seen GOD?
Student : No, sir.
Professor : Tell us if you have ever Heard your GOD?
Student : No , sir.
Professor : Have you ever Felt your GOD , Tasted your GOD , Smelt your GOD ? Have you ever had any Sensory Perception of GOD for that matter?
Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Professor : Yet you still Believe in HIM?
Student : Yes.
Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing. I only have my Faith.
Professor : Yes, Faith. And that is the Problem Science has.

Student : Professor, is there such a thing as Heat?
Professor : Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as Cold?
Professor : Yes.
Student : No, sir. There isn't..

(The Lecture Theatre became very quiet with this turn of events )

Student : Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat, Mega Heat, White Heat,
a Little Heat or No Heat.
But we don't have anything called Cold.
We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is No Heat, but we can't go any further after that.
There is no such thing as Cold.
Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat.
We cannot Measure Cold.
Heat is Energy.
Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it.

(There was Pin-Drop Silence in the Lecture Theatre )

Student : What about Darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as Darkness?
Professor : Yes. What is Night if there isn't Darkness?
Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the Absence of Something
You can have Low Light, Normal Light, Bright Light, Flashing Light . . . But if you have No Light constantly, you have nothing and its called Darkness, isn't it? In reality, Darkness isn't. If it is, were you would be able to make Darkness Darker, wouldn't you?
Professor : So what is the point you are making, Young Man ?
Student : Sir, my point is your Philosophical Premise is flawed.
Professor : Flawed ? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality. You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a Good GOD and a Bad GOD. You are viewing the Concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can't even explain a Thought. It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing.
Death is Not the Opposite of Life: just the Absence of it
Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your Students that they evolved from a Monkey?
Professor : If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shook his head with a Smile, beginning to realize where the Argument was going )

Student : Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and Cannot even prove that this Process is an On-Going Endeavor,
Are you not teaching your Opinion, sir?
Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher?
(The Class was in Uproar )

Student : Is there anyone in the Class who has ever seen the Professor's Brain?

(The Class broke out into Laughter )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's Brain, Felt it, touched or Smelt it? . . .
No one appears to have done so.
So, according to the Established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that You have No Brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then Trust your Lectures, sir?

(The Room was Silent. The Professor stared at the Student, his face unfathomable)

Professor : I guess you'll have to take them on Faith, son.
Student : That is it sir . . . Exactly !
The Link between Man & GOD is FAITH.
That is all that Keeps Things Alive and Moving.

NB:

I believe you have enjoyed the Conversation . . . and if so .. .
You'll probably want your Friends / Colleagues to enjoy the same . . . won't you?
Forward them to Increase their Knowledge . . . or FAITH.
That student was Albert Einstein.

I've just receive this email and it was very touching. Thought of sharing it to all of you.

Dear Mommy,
I am in Heaven now, sitting on Jesus' lap.
He loves me and cries with me; for my heart has been broken.
I so wanted to be your little girl. I don't quite understand what has happened.
I was so excited when I began realizing my existence.
I was in a dark, yet comfortable place. I saw I had fingers and toes.
I was pretty far along in my developing, yet not near ready to leave my surroundings.
I spent most of my time thinking or sleeping.
Even from my earliest days, I felt a special bonding between you and me.
Sometimes I heard you crying and I cried with you. Sometimes you would yell or scream, then cry.
I heard Daddy yelling back.
I was sad, and hoped you would be better soon.
I wondered why you cried so much. One day you cried almost all of the day.
I hurt for you. I couldn't imagine why you were so unhappy.
That same day, the most horrible thing happened.
A very mean monster came into that warm, comfortable place I was in.
I was so scared, I began screaming, but you never once tried to help me.
Maybe you never heard me.
The monster got closer and closer as I was screaming and screaming,
"Mommy, Mommy, help me please; Mommy, help me."
Complete terror is all I felt.
I screamed and screamed until I thought I couldn't anymore.
Then the monster started ripping my arms off.
It hurt so bad; the pain I can never explain.
It didn't stop. Oh, how I begged it to stop.
I screamed in horror as it ripped my leg off.
Though I was in such complete pain, I was dying.
I knew I would never see your face or hear you say how much you love me.
I wanted to make all your tears go away.
I had so many plans to make you happy.
Now I couldn't; all my dreams were shattered.
Though I was in utter pain and horror, I felt the pain of my heart breaking, above all.
I wanted more than anything to be your daughter.
No use now, for I was dying a painful death.
I could only imagine the terrible things that they had done to you.
I wanted to tell you that I love you before I was gone, but I didn't know the words you could understand.
And soon, I no longer had the breath to say them; I was dead.
I felt myself rising. I was being carried by a huge angel into a big beautiful place.
I was still crying, but the physical pain was gone.
The angel took me to Jesus and set me on His lap.
He said He loved me, and He was my Father. Then I was happy. I asked Him what the thing was that killed me. He answered, "Abortion.
I am sorry, my child; for I know how it feels."
I don't know what abortion is;
I guess that's the name of the monster.
I'm writing to say that I love you and to tell you how much I wanted to be your little girl.
I tried very hard to live.
I wanted to live. I had the will, but I couldn't; the monster was too powerful.
It sucked my arms and legs off and finally got all of me. It was impossible to live.
I just wanted you to know I tried to stay with you.
I didn't want to die.
Also, Mommy, please watch out for that abortion monster.
Mommy, I love you and I would hate for you to go through the kind of pain I did.
Please be careful.
Love,

Your Baby Girl

I'm in Taman connougt housing area too. I must say it's not safe for us, ucsi students to stay here anymore. Just last week, my friend's car got stolen. He parked his satria (with double steering lock!) just right in front of his house. The next morning he woke up, his car was gone.

Although there are police station here and u can always see them ronda all the time but nothing changed. There are so many stories of snatch thieves and robbery here. These ppl are so rampant. shakehead.gif

All she remembered is that she heard a bike behind her...she turned around and a parang came to her face and hand!  sad.gif

D@MN ALL THESE RUTHLESS THIEVES!!!  mad.gif

hmm... this one is not really a crime, but something almost happened... i was driving alone on jalan ipoh heading north when suddenly i realised there were 2 motorcycles riding at constant speed beside me. one of them ride alone, the other bike got 2 people. all males. so i got worried and i increased my speed a bit, and just as i thought, they also speed up and stay close to me. the pillion rider then started to stare at me while their bike is getting nearer to my car. it's like they're gonna do something. so i braked hard and they had to go the front cos a bike cant brake suddenly in the middle of the road on the congested jalan ipoh. luckily the car behind was kinda slow and he was pretty far from my car, or else he would've kissed my bumper. as the bikes went far ahead, i can see the pillion rider turning his head and he kept on looking at me, like he was unsatisfied. maybe it was nothing after all, but i thought that was kinda scary. if the worst thing happened, i'll just run over them i guess...
