Ah at least there is a way. But prefer a software unlock tool.

Unlocking by any means are illegal, be it hardware or software, isn't it?

Self-unlocked iPhones, 1st gen or 3G, are also susceptible to 'problems' with firmware update.

Ah yes, but i was referring to self-unlocked phones. Sorry if i hadn't made myself clear the first time.
