Im new to this overclocking arena and want to change my current mobo for better oc features My Current Pc Specs is: AMDx2 4000+(2.1GHZ) 2GB Corsair DDR667 (5-5-6-12) ATI 4870 510W PSU MSI K9N4-SLI I find that this mobo isnt able to push my FSB higher,so am planning to get a new mobo and hope to push my x2 all the way up to 2.9-3.0GHZ Which of these MOBO is really good in terms of OC: 1)Abit Ax78 (Kinda cheap but tons of features) 2)Gigabyte MA78GM-S2H (abit pricey but as i know gigabyte provides good caps) Hope sifu's out there can help me decide on the best mobo for OC and is my current ram able to go higher FSB or i also need to invest in performance rams. AX78 is good choice. But for Gigabyte,i dont really know.Never used it for AMD mobo's. The one u state for Gigabyte is 780G Chipset.

Nvidia chipsets from experience tend to be really warm.. It really does depend on self preference. Best place to ask this comparison question would be at Hardware QnA.

QUOTE(anep @ Aug 5 2008, 01:31 AM) better take ta770.. at first i wanna take that mobo too but out of stock so rockrock offer me ax78 so d blame is on d seller eh? sometimes it's more on how u utilize d item rather than puttin fingers on d item u have. ta770 mite clock x4 better than ax78, but x2 wise, it can go as near as ta690g. d only downside of ax78 is d richness of bios... but come to think of it, it's suitable for noob like me...
