QUOTE(youngkies @ Aug 1 2008, 11:14 PM) get a work permit and renew the visa then. Well, its a thing of the past now (long time ago). Maybe will try to switch jobs to there someday, but its the working permit that's the problem The company is the one that should issue it.. ... unless I miss something on this (I don't wanna be an illegal immigrant though lol)

Newcastle Upon Tyne, Will be going back to Malaysia on the 14th August 08', not really my intention to go back though, will definitely miss my life here. Btw, i don't think there's any summer here in Newcastle, is getting colder and colder every single day, it rains alot as well.

Dear all,
I'm going to work at Wimbledon, London soon next year for 1 year. What is the cost of living over there? Accommodation is provided by my company (not sure what type, mostly is service apartment, I think...) and I also got 40 pound per day (end up 1,200 per month) as my expenses allowance.
Is 40 pound enough for the two of us over there (I will bring my wife too but she is not allow to work)?
Thanks.

A friend of mine had once told me (few years ago or was it last year, jayhan?) that if its over £1000 per month, one is able to live a comfortable life even in London. I kinda forgot if he did told me that or was it another person, but that was told to me before all these global price hike
