- Kingsurf won WCG Paya Lebar Kovan CC League and got themselves a berth in the WCG.sg Open Category. (sauce)

9th August:
- Team Malaysia received additional members: GH3, VF5, CoD4

Chap means for this coming week WCG DotA Open Category anyway. He doesnt mean the WCG Kovan CC Qualifier. Btw mKvL, Cybertime GoV and Tbun-w4si also joining the Open Category.

That bracket is for WCG.sg Kovan CC League, which serves as the Open Category Qualifiers. Apart from Kovan, winners from HomeTeam NS Gaming Giants League and Safra Champions League will be seeded to the actual Open Category as explained by KiLLing-z2.

DoTA: Kingsurf is playing their final group stage opponent, Vietnam but they already won 2 previous match, so they already confirmed to Elimination stage.

CoD4: [ESP]axe and RVG proceed to next stage. Sadly, not for [ESP]wow.

DoTA Open: All three Malaysian teams is in Semi-Final - DNA-SK vs. Tbun-W4si and CT-GoV vs. Evolution (Singapore).

DoTA: Kingsurf will only start their Quarter Finals onwards tomorrow, with Singapore being their 1st opponent.

FIFA: Si_Jali proceed to Semi-Finals against Vietnam tomorrow.

GH3: Win against Thailand, but lost to Vietnam. No quarter finals, because they only take 1 players from our group.

NFS: FoRza also proceed to Semi-Finals against Thailand tomorrow.

CoD4 Open: [ESP]axe lost 2 rounds, [RVG] won 2 and lost 1. On stage right now is [ESP]aXe vs BF.nut and they are trailing waayy behind their Singaporean friends at 0 - 8.

DoTA Open: Tbun-W4si will meet xtc for Finals tmrw, while DNA-SK will meet CT-GoV for 3rd/4th placings.

Alright, final update of the day...CoD4.

[ESP]aXe just finished their match against BF.nut. BF.nut proved to be too strong where ESP got rolled by them with 14 - 0 and 14 - 2 score for each round. That marked their third lost in the league stage.

RVG apparently are doing quite ok with 3 wins and 1 lost in the league stage. Podium finish is possible.

fooo, surprised to see ESP didn't do dat well.

well, i shall cheer on for RVG tomorrow. chapree, see if we can spot each other tomorrow.

DoTA Open Category: Tbun-W4si just the won finals couple of minutes ago. Champioonee, wohooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

CoD 4: Haven't started yet.

DoTA: Kingsurf lost to New Zealand in the semis!

There goes our last hope for gold medal. With that defeat, we also lost in the race for overall champion title.

Kingsurf is scheduled to meet the Indonesian powerhouse, XcN for 3rd/4th place.

DoTA Open Category: CT-GoV received 3rd place after defeating another Malaysian team, DNA-SK.

kingsurf didn't make into final?

Unfortunately, no. Lost to New Zealand.
But they managed to give Team Malaysia a bronze medal by defeating XcN! Although the method was weird as organizer stopped the game half-way because of time constraint, thus the winner was chosen by points.

Basically, that's the end of Team Malaysia's WCG Asian Championship campaign with 1 gold and 2 bronze. The only game still playing now is Call of Duty 4 in the WCG Singapore Open Category.

Congrats to Jali for snatching back the title for FIFA. Kudos also to FoRZa and Ks for bringing back some medals...

Conclusion: If we don't count the last-minute participation (GH3 and VF5), Team Malaysia is a big success. From 3 games competed, all of them make a clean sweep on the medals.

DoTA: Bronze
NFS: Bronze
FIFA: Gold

Just wondering if Thailand NFS is Nosferatu.NG... which means he gets over his disappointment for getting 3rd in CELGames.

Anyway, hopefully this is the preview for the next week's WCG

Who's the top 3?

Too bad, our Team KS lost to NZ's MCC in DotA Semi Final... From what I saw, there's not much teamwork at late game. And MCC could catch some of KS' heroes off guard; also the lonely Dragon Knight who fought at front line without much support during some of the crucial battles.

Anyway, China's E-Home managed to defeat NZ's MCC in Final without much mistakes starting from mid game, despite some of the hardwork from rising Spectre at MCC's side.

Actually I kinda disappointed that Ks lost to MCC in the semi. Nevertheless, they still able the beat XcN and take the bronze..... as a consolation.
