What material is the mouse top made of?

Does the Icemat go with Ikari optical? My CH is acting all ghey with me with its double-click issues, and its annoying me to no end. Ikari laser is tempting, but 100 bucks more doesn't really attract me.

In a nutshell, optical with glasspad, go or no go?

A'ight, before i jump onto the Ikari bandwagon, i need to know a few things.

Can i have some no-nonsense, honest-to-God opinions on the Ikari? I might be dropping by somewhere to get the feel of it, but i want to hear the CONS of the mouse from users. One review mentioned that the plastic feels cheap-ish, and more than one pointed out that the scroll wheel feels cheap.

If there's a defect that can happen, it prolly will, given that i'll be using it for long hours for a loooooooooong long time. My CH developed the doubleclick syndrome, and while i thought it was batch-related, it seems inevitable for this venerable mouse. sad.gif

Keys on the 6/7G are etched or whut? I lol'd when my friends' Tarantulas have faded keys after a year while my Logitech cheapo keyboard's keys are as pretty as ever. Mind you, he's some uberfreak that never has a stray nail growing too long. I'm the lazy bum with long nails tongue.gif

4H versus Siberia, which one would you pick? My music is as important as gaming, so im siding with the Siberia. Google and comments here mentioned pros and cons of the 4/5H, but nada on the Siberia.

The 4H has a retractable mic, but the Siberia has the option of not plugging in the mic alltogether, which makes it easier for me to listen to music only, so i guess this is a non-factor.

For some unknown reason, 3H and 4H are not popular. Siberia's line and 5Hv2 are the most popular I think. Though I do know people with 4H, but have yet to borrow it from them and try it. Music wise, don't use the 5Hv2, Siberia will totally own the rest. icon_rolleyes.gif

According to Everdying, who is a 4H user, 4H and 5H using same drivers (Sundancers, i think), so sound quality shouldn't be much different. Its the detachable function that's interesting (and that pricetag to lansi during LAN games tongue.gif ) I'm still surviving in COD with my cheapo Creative headset, so i guess the Siberia is enough for me. biggrin.gif
