wrong¬ english version of Fatal Frame IV is already confirmed.

the official release date for both NA and EU is still unknown.

Even so,EU will get the game first. (Some news said i will be released on early 2009)

A Tecmo representative has been quoted saying that Wii game Fatal Frame IV will not be released in North America, just staying in Japan.

"Nintendo holds the publishing rights to Fatal Frame Wii, which was developed by Tecmo LTD and Grasshopper Manufacture and released in Japan on July 31st, 2008. Nintendo of America has since then decided not to publish the title in North America ? consequently, the title will not be released in this territory. As the owner of the IP, Tecmo feels very unfortunate that the fans of the series in North America will not have a chance to play the game, but respects the final decision made by Nintendo of America".

Sounds like bad news for fans of the survival horror genre.

yeah i read that too, doesn't affect some of us because official my/sg Wii is US version anyways and wii is region-lock.

in fact, i'm glad it's not coming to Europe since NA is not getting it anyways.... i don't want another disaster. vmad.gif

either i go for a jap class
or
wait for taiwan/china chinese version...

i guess the chance of latter happening is even rarer than NTSC/US release tongue.gif

wait until ur muka also like ur avatar dy is it? but seriously, one year past its original jp is dy a long time, they were to start now also it will be a ways off until they get it.

not to mention FF games also come with new eng VOs, so they can't just do a quick port with subs like others.

Good news to Fatal Frame 4 fans

as Nintendo Amerika turn off Fatal Frame 4 to be available for EN/EU version,

there is one team that working on translation on Fatal Frame 4.

from my understanding, they will release the patch around end of this month or next month *from the date of this post*

From the FAQs:

QUOTE
Q: How will the patch work?

A: We are attempting a very ambitious patch which will patch the original game on-the-fly, something that to my knowledge has never been attempted before. Should we succeed, the patch will be read off an SD card and run through the Wii Memory Management menu, and will function as long as you have the original game in your disc drive.

Q: So I'll need to buy the Japanese game?

A: Yes, you will need to buy the game to play it, like with every other game.

Q: Will I need to buy a Japanese Wii?

A: No, should the patching method be successfully implemented, the game will run on any Wii, any version, any region. Except perhaps Korean. I can't vouch for Korean Wiis.

Q: Will I need anything else to play the patch?

A: You'll need an SD card, someway to transfer files from your computer to your SD card, and the intelligence to follow simple instructions.

Other optional things you may want to have to extend functionality include a Wii, some controllers, hands, eyes, ears, a television or monitor, a sensor bar, some cookies and a glass of milk, and an easily scared attractive member of the opposite sex.

HAIL INTEHNET!

p/s: someone from first page please copypaste this info, this team will 99.99% surely release this patch
