Alum polish = Autosol smile.gif Definitely removable, so don't worry about it. I also use it on rims for the same cases but rims are exposed to more weird stuff like melted plastics etc.

Presence of Wax should be assessed by the smoothness of surface rather than the water beading.

And end of this month, I'll be doing a roadshow @ JuruAutoCity, Penang. Hopefully I'll find somebody there that's interested in opening a Car Detailing Center smile.gif
Wash, Clay (assess whether you have clayed properly by smoothness of surface). Then Wax. If your car is not new or polished, I recommend to use a Polish & Wax every 2 weeks instead. It's not as long lasting as a pure wax but it should help to buff up the shine and remove minor scratches. After 1 month you can switch to waxing alone. You should also try to do this under a shade to avoid the car drying up before you can finish your wash+clay

sleepwalker, after the wax you QD every 2 weeks. Technically, you are layering an extra layer of wax on top. Let's say you leave the wax layer alone, just pure washes every week. How long will it lasts? Just a question

Yukito! I just got my new car and recently, there's scratches on my car due to my small dog playing around. Those scratches are everywhere and some are pretty visible. My car is less than a month old. Pretty heart broken. How can I get rid of those marks and do they have such thing like a scratch resistant layer or protection? And I am planning to do coating at your store. Will the coat protect my car from those scratches? What's the best price you can give me? My car size is about a Honda Accord car. Thanks bro.

I went to Sonax yesterday to get my car coat. I must say, I am really impressed with the end result. The whole process took more than 7 hours. They really putted in their time and effort to get my car paint protected. The guy called James Tan was really friendly.

how much? for what car?

i have this coating thing in my mind. since coating will bond to the paint and create a hard plastic shield. Assuming i do get scratches later(which it will for daily driven car), does using a paint cutter able to remove the coat? or i have to do sanding? ....

The package which include washing, claying, polishing and coating which comes with a 6 free wash and a wax only cost RM480 for a medium size car. I'm driving a Peugeot 407 by the way. Now my car seems glossy and wet. The water bedding effect was great when James Tan showed them to me after the whole process.

If you are worried of your car paint, coating is one of the option to protect your paint. I have a small dog at home which contributed to most of my scratches. After purchasing a car mat to protect my car, somehow seeing those scratches, I felt heartbroken, thus I sent my car for the coating.

Regarding your question of removing the coat, that I leave it to other sifu to answer.

I think he got mix up between polishing and waxing.

Polishing will remove a thin layer of your paint. Waxing will not make your paint thin. It'll form a layer of protection on the paint. Do read nicely.
