hi, im new to detailing, yesterday, i tried to wax my new car, it is a white myvi, the steps i have taken is:

1. wash the car with kit's car shampoo,
2. dried it with chamois cloth,
3. apply wax,
4. let the wax cure while i clean the interior,
5. buff the wax by hand,
6. applied this white substance on the tyres and plastic parts.

problems i faced:
1. the wax i used is by turtle wax and it is very hard to see whether the area is applied with wax already or not.
2. i dunno what is the base of the plastic protectant i apply, as i know silicone 1 is bad for dashboard.

it would be helpful if pros here are able to give me some advice to improve on my skill.
