i have
1xkit car wash wash and wax
1x kit yellow bottle wax (carnauba thingy)
1x meta clean wax

now my question is, how do i give my car additional shine? with what product? im willing to spend rm 50 for this product so i wonder if i can get anything within tht budget

So you have done all 3 products and you think the shine is not enough?

QUOTE
Yukito, are you in AutoCity for yesterday and today ??

Been there yesterday till midnite..crowded

Yikes how do you know? I was there on Sat & Sun. The ICE was horrible, they had heavy bass and zero clarity at all. Felt like vomitting listening to it the whole day sad.gif

QUOTE
what have u been up to lately . still in touch with the rest for the usual williams?

haha yeah i think the seals all got problem
you place got do seals changing? what is the price

btw your interio detailing includes cleaning of trims, everything right?

I operating a Car Spa now in Sunway, not accessories shop sweat.gif Sorry can't help you on seals changing. Interior Detailing usually doesn't include detailing of trims since its on the outside but if people requests for it I don't mind doing it smile.gif

Still in touch with other people, like Cath & Kev and all those. We should get together sometimes wink.gif

I got question. Why my white car, the wax adsorbs oil and dirt.
Its like I have to remove the wax by washing with high concentrated soap only the black stains go away. Especially black oil, it just seeps right into the wax......

Does all wax behave this way?

Sounds weird, wax is suppose to create a layer of smooth surface so oil and dirt DOESN'T stick. Seems yours is working the other way. Mind to share what brand of wax are you using?

QUOTE
can? i mean like a polymer sealent or something to protect the wax i just gave and probably give it a real glossy finnish?

Polymer sealant is more for Lasting Protectection more than the shine. You can do a layer of polymer sealant FIRST. Then followup with a layer of wax to have optimum shine. Honestly I never used Kit brand of wax to give any comments but maybe you can try other brands such as Mothers, their waxes does give a good shine.

QUOTE
oh sorry by trims i meant the interior trims. the ones on the door covering all the internals

whoa how is cath and kev 0.o

Oh you mean side panel? Those plastics? Or the Fabric/Leather part?

Cath and Kev? Haven't married lor, former working in Dell and latter working in GXN now. So so. Which area are you hanging around lately?

I just wax my car, if go to wash every week, will it removed the wax ?
Cause i dun wanna wax it again everyweek.

Depends on how they wash and the shampoo they use. If you go to those cheapo under the tree car wash using Fab Detergent to wash your car, the wax is gone after a single wash. Just go to those proper places then you'll be ok.

hi all,
my car already apply VPS paint protect(i think it's consider sealant).
if now im using TAR/BUG REMOVER or CLAY, will it remove the protection layer of sealant?

VPS is Vehicle Protection System right? Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing. VPS is of a coating nature that chemically bonds to your paint so the answer is NO, it won't be removed by Clay/Tar,Bug Remover.

Never knew that Solid Paint has no clear coat. Should take a closer look at those paints next time

I haven't tried DiamonBrite and VPS myself so no comments on there but what I can tell you is from my experience of using the SONAX Nano Paint Coating (which is also a Coating), it's rough at first and I have to let it cure for 3 days (no washing and anything else). After 1 month, it starts to smooth out by itself

How did you get ur hands on DiamondBrite anyway? Will be very very interested to try it myself.

Means the VPS is below the 3M Stone Chips Protection Film? I know about these films but I never come across 3M's one. Though the ones I came across are quite smooth, but doesn't add to the shine of the paint.

That's a seriously deep mark. With lambskin + abrasive can probably restore 70%...............

so serious ar?  need to use wool pad and get it compound

Hmm, it might be the way I say it that gives you the idea. Well, marks like this are similiar to those made by relatively acidic compounds such as bird crap, it only takes it bout 7 hours to do this kind of damage to a unprotected paint (note: wax doesn't give much protection against it). Sadly, after the time, I find the damage too deep to even restore it to 80%.

Although I use the word compound, its not going to be a heavy compound process. It's just gonna be a Wool + Paste and a few rounds will do the job then follow up with a simple Polish.

But 1 thing is dun wax when the paint surface is hot, wait for it to cool down.

How come? Thought it only applies to Polish?

I find Liquid based waxes to produce a good shine but they tend to haze easily after one week or so compared to paste wax. Anybody has that problem?

Wow RM148, hard to imagine they can earn any money at all O.o Then again, I think the word is being abused too much and it makes u wonder what's the real package involved? Maybe you can ask for a list of Compound/Polish products used
