Hmm.... Best to meet up to see how you are correcting the paint. Many variables to consider. Are the swirls there already or only after you polish?

Sometime ago I asked Chris Thomas of OPT USA whether can OCW/Alien Wax be used for other uses... say CPU casing? He said its possible... it just that he reminded me to make sure to KEEP the microfiber cloth damp at all times to prevent static electricity! This is a DELL computer casing that uses a single stage spray-on paint without any clear coat. Some of us know that OCW/Alien Wax works well on modern day paint system(2 stage...base coat and clear coat). So how would a wax like OCW/Alien Wax react to it? Well lets see.

I first cleaned the casing with a dampen(with plain water) general purpose microfiber(non plushy ones) since its just purely light dust. Casing age is about 2 years old.

Product used... Optimum Car Wax/Alien Wax of course.






Just 2 light squirts. I didn't press the trigger all the way full.




Noticed that there is more beading on the left side compared to the right side. I did let OCW/Alien Wax cure for 30 minutes. Temperature indoors is about 29C-30C.




NON Abrasive... No black paint transfer. Those marks on the microfiber cloth is basically just OCW/Alien Wax or just water(I did use the same cloth to wipe off the water after doing a 50/50).




No stains in the cracks.



No unscrewing of casing required. I did unplug everything from the back of the CPU so I can perform the application.


BTW, do note to use common sense when trying to mess with electrical equipment using some form of liquid, if there are vents on the casing then its best to spray OCW/Alien Wax onto the cloth and wipe it down onto the casing. Application takes seconds. For the water spraying demo, I did make sure that that side has no open vents. Also I did be very careful not to spray water into the casing gaps too much.

It works for me but for others, at own risk.

I did not really mean not good, but as my previous reply is to earlier on comment that one of them mentioned after they wax their car their car still getting dirty.

Waxing is a layer of protection, however like I said, weather such as acid rain combine with sun light, wax can deteriorate and melt. And when it melts and dry, it stains your car.

I mean the stain build up within a week, which could not be washed away with ONR, I wash at least once a week.

Procedure: clean with power clean -> wash with ONR -> apply wax

After a week with 1 or 2 days raining, done, stain built up again

also dun want to spend too much on 1, I'm asking becus I wanted to polish my headlamp.
1 of my headlamp is a bit ( only 3 years  ) yellowish, another side is fine tho, clear .. but I really cannot stand looking at it ( not balance ) so I went sanding it with 1000, 1500 thn 2000 sand papers, and thn hand polished with a headlamp restorer thingy from mall. ( was looking for plastic polisher + scratch remover at first but can't find  )

after all the effort, it actually became worst. maybe the oxidation is from the inside ?

I'll have to look everywhere for the polishing pad    btw is the polishing compound very important ? cus all I have is waxco headlamp polish and another local brand tat start with F, will all these cheaper compound make a lot of diff ? like finishing not so clear etc

can recommend me how to polish my windshield.. couple month ago my car  got tiny² white paint particle (someone doing spraying job not far from my car)..so i decide to use 3000 sand paper to 'clean' this paint.. end up with swirl all over my windshield..

can i use normal polishing compound?

and meg ultimate compound safe for glass & plastic (head/backlight)?

Hii KC.. How to remove the paint on black part.. Such as window frame.. Affraid to use sand paper, coz it will leave scratch mark. polish dust hard to remove from this part.

I was wondering, is Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer same as Meguiars Quick Detailer, as KC used OID to pickup stuborrn dark stain on the white myvi. I tried to use quick detailer, could not do a thing on removing dark stain

You are correct, polishing is like sanding, you use sandpaper on wooden surface to remove rough surfaces, so do polishing used to remove a very thin layer of clear coat in order reveal a new bright side. That's why we have Opti-Coat to serve the purpose though, the best coating and protection you can get

And for the clay, can't find it in your place? There is plenty here. Let me know if you need my help.

ONR is very simple to use. 1 bucket of water and 3 pieces of MF cloth and you get a very clean car.

As for the coating, so far I can only see Permanon brand that is offering DIY package. Optimum opti-coat no DIY, and have to sign contract with the distributor. 

But guess you know as well, that in order to coat, it is advisable that all paint defect should be removed first.

ONR is very mild, it will not wash off your Permanon.

Forget it... Charge you sky high but you don't really get what you deserve... But yes, business is business though.
