Just wondering whether is there any place I can get a 4'' polish pad that can attach to drill? I do not have a proper machine like rotary or orbital polisher; but I just need to do some plastic polish for the headlights.

Would appreciate if you guys can point me to where I can get it. Cheers

[attachmentid=2874975]to those detailing gurus out there i need some help.

tried the following on my Black Lexus IS250 with Optimum products.
Clay bar with MGs

LC Orange Pad with Optimum hyper compound on DA speed 6
LC White Pad with Optimum hyper polish on DA speed 4

MG W7006 wool pad with Optimum hyper compound on Rotary 1500RPM
LC White pad with Optimum hyper polish on DA speed 4

both setup did not yield any resulting in deminishing the micro swirls. I tried all pressured and non pressured way as i compound them, I still cant get any mirror finishing result.
I feel like going for MG 205

Anyone knows whats my issue here?>

this s550 was severely wacked prior delivering to the new onwer, onwers of such ride, usually has driver to chauffer them around & maintain their ride....
i believe this car came with lots of swirls which damaged due to improper washing, prior delivering to the new owner, they agent might have sent to detailing
guess what they got...free HOLOGRAMMING

Look carefully the circle RIDs - pig-tails like - was certainly a cause by the dirty wool/foam pads used (not clean periodically) most probably some dust or dirt sticks on the pads used by the previous detailer . * usually sponge used in car washed outside -

Hi KC, would be good if you are in Brisbane!
Detailing here cost a fortune at least $500 ($1500 rm)
Curious though on my issue, the pad that I used are brand new pads.

On a DA do you reckon I should use speed 6 on compound and with heavy pressure? And polishing on speed 3/4 with light / no pressure.

If this doesn't help, I'm getting the optimum polish pad to be used on rotary or get swirl x to try, last resort on M205?

I know
everywhere the same buddy

as nobodys does is better than yrself...since u need to groom yr car often...learn & master the skill in patience

compound a yes, over a period of a few passes (but with rotary 2 -3 passes will do)

Hmm.... Best to meet up to see how you are correcting the paint. Many variables to consider. Are the swirls there already or only after you polish?

Just get my new car. The dealer mentioned that it's already waxed before delivery. But to me it feel like it still easily get dirty. I'm owning a white car. How do you maintain it? Using wax??

Currently I had to wipe every evening when I reach home. You guys did the same thing? Please share how you maintain on white cars.

Wax doesn't means your car won't get dirty easily... In fact, somehow prolly after rain, even worst especially in our hot weather... The melted wax and the acid rain makes a perfect combo in staining your car.

I did not really mean not good, but as my previous reply is to earlier on comment that one of them mentioned after they wax their car their car still getting dirty.

Waxing is a layer of protection, however like I said, weather such as acid rain combine with sun light, wax can deteriorate and melt. And when it melts and dry, it stains your car.
