Just for knowledge, how long does it take to wetsand the whole car? hmm.gif

very subjective buddy - to what degree? is it a DD or a show car or a collectibles?

mostly I would recommend do a spot wet sanding - rather than the whole car

There is also a very aggressive velvet pad my buddy has & it can do a good good cutting - but let me ask a very importance ? is it a DD or show car?? cos if we get 50% of our CC gone - Tata ya not TADA.....

wanna do a hands on esp for our BU meeting guys, as promise Sir

for the newly paint car and not from the OEM paint I bet we can wet sand the whole car right KC? since normally non OEM new paint is more thicker and alot of margin to play with. right now I just dont know to what extend, what preasure on the wet sanding. is it just good enough for a few pass wet sand with light preassure or one pass wet sand with a lot of pressure.

normally i use the pressured water machine that my father bought it, normally use at car wash place. i use the machine and wash my car, after that i use the car shampoo to wash using sponge. And then i use the machine to wash it off with a lower pressure(turn the pipehead). After everything is clean then i use a microfiber cloth and normal pipe water to rinse every part of my car to ensure no dirt left. Is it ok i using this way?
and 1 more question, can i wax my car few time a row? like,
first wax>clean>2nd wax>clean>3rd wax>clean?
Sorry for my noob question, after i bough a new car, i very well appreciate the car. so my question might be a bit troublesome =(

just wet sand the front hood using 1200>1500>2000 grit sand paper. detailing it with my DA machine

1. turtle wax rubbing compound + wool
2. meguairs paint cleaner + wool/pad
3. meguairs polish + pad
4. meguairs wax + pad

result? no visible positive effect. d**n. I still cant reduce the orange peel. might be the wet sand is too minimal and light I guess

sure - first wax>clean>2nd wax>clean>3rd wax>clean -

i only believe a weekly wash & a monthly wax - why not do it more often -

let me give u one more priceless trick - try 1:8 power clean - & wash thoroughly to strip away stains & older wax

& re wax back & yr car kaw kaw kilat again

I think my wetsanding is "light and gentle" since I barely see any difference in minimizing the orange peel effect. some more using the DA. i think DA+wool cutting power is not good as to rotary+wool. what do you think KC? later i put the pics.

to be honest to remove the swirl from the wetsand using DA is pain in the ass. it takes forever to remove the scratch. the scratch is still lightly visible under strong light.

Wow that a cool guide. I like your blog, the way you explain with full of pics really make things clear. smile.gif
and by the way i do waxing 1 layer almost every week, just that when holiday or have a day free then i might do it 3 layer waxing. biggrin.gif
and yeah, do i really have to use the clay actually? coz normal i pressured wash>clean>pressured wash>wash>wipe.
never tried clay yet. so is it really have to use clay for a more cleaner process? i scare i might scratch my car because of my minor mistakes. blush.gif
oh ya, by the way KC, where do you bought those car cleaning stuffs such as wax? coz i think i want to buy a more trust able brand wax and car wash liquid. any suggestion for wax brand and car wash liquid brand as well for the place to buy it, cant really find at cheras.

My most recent posting - another detailing guide to help yr detailing quest
a complete detailing guide here

allow to share a simple make over of yr engine

under the- hood, the most unrewarding & every car get away without notice

let me share how easy & simple it can be
opc at work
user posted image

before the ugly
user posted image

after 30 minutes
conquered with 1 brushes & OPC (optimum power clean with ratio 1:5 water & 1:8 ) ta da
ta da
user posted image

The head ache & here comes the hardest to detail - the worst I have ever seen & dream of
the sticky part - back arm rest console - velco glue peels off

so much so it was transferred to the arm rest console mmmmmmmnn :-(

user posted image

so much so the heats of the day - melts even the Araldite Adhesive
user posted image

WITH OPC again

TADA

no more sticky stuff
user posted image

the console restored & free from the glue with OPC & now protect OLP

& a 50 /50 comparrsion

I only had Optimum power clean & Optimum Leather protectant for both the engine & interior
