We're talking about white vinegar here of course

hey KC....whats the best ways to clean white rims?.....white rims are easily contacts with brake dust and dirt from external. Also i understand that white rims over the years will start to age and will turn yellow. is there any way to prevent this...are there any similar steps like detailing bodywork?
*
What I'll do is wash and clean it properly, clay if rajin, then wax it or apply any sealant of your choice. Treat it like how you treat the body paint and it wont turn yellow.

I'd give WD40 a go if you have some at home. Make sure you rinse properly after that and you'll be fine.

Thank s buddy thank you for saying it all...your ride really well detail, so much so i dare not use it as demo

rims is actually coated with paint - pls do not send to car wash & allowed them to use acid to clean the wheels...very corrosive

Hi KC, been following your detailer blogspot quite a while and I really envy your skill.

I've been using meguairs since 2005 and I'd like to purchase the one like yours which I believe cheaper but got awesome results!

I have looked the site http://www.ultimateshine.com.my regarding the product. can you recommend which is the best product+pads suitable for these task?

a) paint correction/orange peel effect on newly paint job?
b) occasional wax for protection on a new paint.

my target is to reduce as much as possible my newly paint car without the need of wet sanding then protect it once every 3-6 months to maintain its beauty

Thanks

Its ok bro dadurtyz
you have to know yr is a DD (daily driven car) not show room car.... at times it is pretty unavoidable..

change your microfibers 3-4 times a year ( try not to use mitt, if need too, pls wash it clean)

lets meet up & take a look to see how i can guide u to detail yr own

eg
look at this brand new inspira - not even sent for detail - already got this

keep up yr effort & dont gives up....many year back i got a round of key scratched on my ride, so sad couldnt sleep for 2 weeks...many suggested to repaint - i did not due to some reason instead i picked up paint correction

thank God i didnt repaint - cos original paint is baked under 300degrees celcius for 3 hours - for each coat from primer - colour & clear coat - but repainted baked only at 57degrees only for 25 minutes :-( it wouldnt last

Good news is you are aware now - keep it up

paint correction/orange peel effect on newly paint job? Sent it back where yr job was done badly finish - you paid for a job & never ask for oranges

paint correction/orange peel effect on newly paint job?Never ever wax a newly painted coat

for it takes about 3 months for your paint to get cured...check out what meguiars says...

BTW many believe in Typical malaysian weather need longer to cure , as it is warm - paint remain soft

wet sanding - is fun - just like drifting - a slight skid - ta ta

a coat of wax will be good buddy - washing yr car weekly & waxing it monthly

and the best protection one can gives to yr newly painted coat is ONR - as it has polymer & dirt get harder to stick on

the orange doesnt that bad. almost or more or less like the OEM paint coming out from the factory. I just want to make it like in your own picture in #4. i guess i need to wait a little longer >3 months for the paint to cure. therefore I need your advice which product that u can recommend for a new paint? correct me if I'm wrong

a) detailing spray ->Optimum Instant Detailer
b) polish & swirl remover ->Optimum Compound or Optimum Poli-Seal or Optimum Polish -New Formula?
c) wax & sealant ->Optimum Car Wax or Optimum Car Wax or SmartWax - 100% Pure Carnauba Based Wax & Polish?

Hi Buddy Eddyman

it will be good to meet up & view yr paint together, to see how can we equipe to to detail on yr own

detailing spray - use 2 ounce of ONR in a 500ml = TADA QD liow

to remove swirls ...Hmmmm subjective - if it is white or silver nobody can see - no need to trouble
others - try OHSP - opt hyper spray polish + optimum double sided pad - TADA *better with rotary ( more consistent & better results)

wax - sealant- the best, effortless & efective

Optiseal - so affordable - 1 bottle 8 ounce (4 times applications ) can last for 10 years

OCwax so effortless & effective = i ve got a lady follower who wash her car & wax weekly without fail & results blink blink

no worries buddy - will try to arrange one in Melaka (kindly get 10 participants & venue) we will get down to train you

Mitts is good but you have to clean properly , as it dirt & finer sands get traps beneath the wool strands...& when it is worn out (pls change)

as for me i would prefer MF - cheap & easily wash & affordable to replace (3 sets ) a year

nothing last for clear coat cleanning - as when we do it so often - we actually creates friction - resulting swirls

best of all - find some thing u like & do it - effortlessly

wash thoroughly & make sure it is well clean before next use - lower area or rims pls use a separate material

cos u dont want to trap these contamination into your next wash

recommended to use gird guard when wash

stain cannot be removed simply by using waxing since wax is for protection not a polisher/stain remover. try to get something paint cleaner, compound (harsher) or polish (softer) method. if it is still cannot be remove by using rotary machine, normally last resort i will wet sanding it.
