huhu. tonight have 8-pin event for beginner/novis. will done on 10.30pm. then continue play till 1am
around 160 to 180 only. not good enough 
same standard la. don't expect me highly

btw, one of our forumer; Kelvin, already made it to national squad.
he won an international tournament recently. 
and a few other forumers are ex- national youth project squad too 
count me out  nowadays, i usually play once in a blue moon using in house ball only 

hmm.... for some simple reason, serious bowler usually play the variety of hook style; lane and bowling ball are tailored for hook style. spinner style was invented by taiwanese bowler due to their small frame and the lighter spinner's ball suit 'em well. but their international success is less compared to those of hook style bowlers.
you can start by watching / emulate those step, release and style of those from PBA tour thru youtube videos.
else, ask someone good in hook style you meet at the bowling alley. some are very friendly one.
btw, a good bowling ball and a pair of shoes is required. without 'em, it will takes forever to improve your game.

you are right! just throw only...    but must hit the target, then, it will be more fun   
to able to hit the target consistently, certain form of training and concentration are required.
