@r i k h a i,
I think U'll get better response if U sent out a letter or fax to targeted sponsors; DiGi, Celcom, Maxis, MAS, AirAsia, etc etc.

@r i k h a i,
It is going to be difficult to get CASH sponsorship - U should be HAPPY Nestle agreed to giving U sponsorship in kind. U should now change ur strategy and get as many sponsors as possible to give U different products; that way U be able to justify the $ U need to charge those who wants to come.

Remember, your objective here is NOT to make $ from this activity but to find sufficient funds to have it so do not charge these students an arm and a leg to attend - look @ ur total cost and divide by the number of tables U intend to sell to derive at the table cost.

Also, no need to have a full sit down dinner; buffet style might be cheaper so weigh ALL ur available options carefully.

PS: Best is to get help from ur friends' dad & mom; esp those who's got enuff $ to help wink.gif

@r i k h a i,
You don't need to spend TOO much $ - U can get the school to help U get some lucky draws for the night. You get ur students to perform. And for those who wants to go; just charge them the cost of the dinner table.

There U haf it!

@r i k h a i,
Y would U need permit to host the event?! Just raise the $ and give it to some charity or something lah! tongue.gif

Ask urself if U can afford spending that RM5k for whatever permit - would U be able to raise enough $ to even cover the cost of this RM5k?!

And such school 'fund raising' events wouldn't need a permit - U don't haf to tell the whole world it's for charity; just announce it on the night will do.

If U like, I could alwiz provide my bank account number to U - I sure would like some help financially biggrin.gif

You shouldn't even be looking at making profit - just make sure U haf sufficient to break even; that way U don't need to go looking for sponsors biggrin.gif

@alanyuppie,
Act they CAN get a party going @ the venue they've proposed [was it Holiday Villa, SJ?] - yes don't expect it to be as posh as attending some grand wedding dinner function or Ms Malaysia World finals but it still is possible if enough people help make it happen.

I don't know what the total hotel cost is but let's assume it can be done @ RM75 p/head [food is NOT the real reason so U can alwiz opt for a menu or get the hotel to come up with a customised one based on the $ U can afford].

You could alwiz charge RM85 p/person - do U not think students can afford RM85 these days?! Yes some students might not be able to afford it but from what I read, I think majority of these students who wants to make this party happen probably use a more expensive & canggih handset than I do!

There is NO need to print banners; and U can alwiz get the help of the Student Service Centre @ ur college to help U print those banners in A3 to be placed all over the college.

I don't think it's as difficult as it sounds; TS just made it more complicated that's all tongue.gif
