Love pets? Then write about pets.

For newbies, especially in such a saturated internet space, try not to write a blog about everything under the sun, as those are much harder to gain in popularity...

unless of course you are a pretty girl/ have a huge group of friends/ a celebrity etc.

Then it's much easier. For the rest of us, be specific, do some SEO, use Facebook (a MUST) and just keep writing good content.

yup, making your blog more popular can be a full time job. If you manage 3 different blogs with 3 different niches, you have the best chance of making each one popular.

From Google's point of view, your site will be keyword rich and related to a single niche. You will gain from the Search engines.
