Yeap, no doubt bout it , content is king and the soul of the web but think about it, how many people are doing/writing the same niche/topic with you, without a strong and quality backlink, it is impossible to get into top 1000 in google SERP.
So a tips for people who want to get more traffic to their blog.

1. Post at least 2-5 comments on related niche dofollow's blog.
2. Post at least 2-5 reply to dofollow's forum, the best is niche related.

P/s : Do include your keyword as anchor text, for example if you keyword is money, you could try put money/money face/money lover as your name to post comments.

You can see significant result in a week.

And for blogger, it is very limited and they don't have any plugin for this. You have to do them manually. For my personal opinion, blogger is for beginner and once you can handle blogger, switch to wordpress.

Blogger :
Advantage - They host for you, easy to use.
Disadvantage - very limited tools

Wordpress:
Advantage - Thousand of useful plugin, lots of feature
Disadvantage - self hosting
