Haiyoh.. what is the debate about.. it is not a debate.. FIFA Rulez already stated very clear.

• The player taking the penalty kick must kick the ball forward

The ball must roll towards the goal.

• He must not play the ball again until it has touched another player

A goal may be scored directly from a penalty kick.

So after kicking the ball forward... game returns normal.


THIS APPLIES IN FUTSAL OR INDOOR SOCCER OR BEACH SOCCER.

1 related question - wat if ball hits tian and rebounds back to same striker? i have seen such goals given. though technically i think its a foul as no second player touched the ball. The main purpose of the rule is in fact to prevent players from dribbling into the net. Hmmm

Henry-Pires' failed penalty kick was supposed to be Arsene Wenger's birthday gift

Yeah, I agree that it was embarrassing

most probably Arsene will be more delight if Pires juz smack the ball in.

Had City equalized after that fiasco, I wouldn't expect Wenger to be too happy about it.

some of the penalty,i can see the defender enter the box @ semi D before the kicker take the kick,the other i dont know why
the 1st one i can see the red team enter the semi D before kicker kick the ball

but how about the miss penalty + header scored?? why been denied?

The 2nd penalty was not allowed because the goalkeeper stepped out of his line before the kicker kicked the ball and the 3rd was because the player entered the semi circle b4 the ball was kicked. tats y he got booked. The others not sure
