Hi all,

Just want to remind all of the Low Yat forumers to be careful with this man whose name is Mr.Loi. His phone number : +6012 2984 229.

My friend called him up to set up the wiring and install the water heater as he got this number from no where which I do not know. The charges was RM170 and do you know what? He used that kind of normal wiring which can be found on the normal electronic stuffs such as table fan,vacumn cleaner and extension wire.

The next day, the socket started to melt and my friend quickly called him up. This man just changed the white socket and told my friend to rest assured.
But yet, the whole socket was so hot and my friend was worried. I asked the other technician and they told me that this should not be the right way as the water heater has to be connected to the main switch via different wiring but not with the normal wiring just plugged into the normal plug port.

After that, in the phone, this fellow admitted he did not know well about the wiring and he recommended his friend who is so called good in this wiring but additional RM190 is needed. My friend was dissatisfied as RM170 had been paid to him and he should be responsible for this. Besides this, his faulty wiring might cause the danger of life as the person might get electrical shock when they take bath. This man just hung up the phone call with anger by shouting " what wiring do you mean? Every wiring is the same!" . Come on, we talked nicely to him but he was the one who get pissed off. W
We were totally dissatisfied with him as he is irresponsible,dishonest,unethical and the most important thing is he did not care of the other people's safety.

ask your frend again where he get his contact number from. from newspaper ? magazine ? website ?

water heater need 4mm wiring... btw that flur have any license? IF not, can direct lodge a police report and sue him already.

RM 170 to install water heater is expensive, is it those instant water heater or the storage type ? if i were you , i wouldnt use anyone he recommends, just ask for a refund and get another guy to do it.

It is just the normal water heater without internal pump. This fellow did not even pick up my phone, so how did I get a refund from him?

As long as you can prove that he's accepting money to do wiring job for other people without a proper license, means that he can be sued.

Any non-SIRIM product he use? e.g. socket/wall socket/extension wire.

Donkey fellow,dunno how to hook up wiring and still charge you $.I think he did not know the IE regulation.

Yes, We have his receipt and in the receipt did stated that he is not even a plumber but also provides the services of the installation of the water heater. Gosh, I still remembered my friend was frightened and nearly shit on his pants when the "ikan over fried" smell came out from the white socket.

Do you think the police really cares about it?
We doubt on our police forces's efficiency nowadays.
Sorry to say that in our mind the police just likes to drink coffee.
Is there any alternative way ?
