If Disney reboot X-Men, time to focus of other interesting characters like Storm, Rogue and my favorite Gambit. Even Cyclops deserve better treatment. Professor X and Magneto must still be the core but X-Men have so many cool characters who is sidelined just because Jennifer Lawrence is Mystique and Sophia Turner is popular due to GOT.

Actually, Gambit could be a popular major character like Wolverine if they find the right actor.

Do wonder will MCU synergize with Jonathan Hickman's relaunch of X-men with a clean slate as all the books were cancelled to give way for the 2 new titles. Hickman's influence over Avengers:IW pretty much apparent and EG took a page from his signature of blending high concept sci-fi storylines. Easily three to four years away before any mutants grace the silver screen.

Characters with ultra speed are always nerfed because they would be too much powerful.

The worst X-Men film of all, even worse than X-Men The Last Stand & X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Definitely blame the direction and writing. The actors did OK I guess, even Sophie Turner but you can clearly see some disinterest in actors like Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy.

The villain(s) sweat.gif

Considering how vast the X-Men universe really is, this is just terrible. The most cringey part:
“By the way, the women are always saving the men around here. You might want to think about changing the name to X-Women.”

Very hopeful to see how MCU does the mutants.

Anybody here read xmen comics?

Well the latest event by john hickman is freaking dope. "House of x" and "power of x". Well I think they are laying the brick in establishing xmen in mcu. Not via a time machine etc but by moira mactaggert's mutant power which we only know now in 2019. Previously we all thought she is a normal human being. Here is her power state in wiki:

For decades, Dr. Moira MacTaggert was depicted as a baseline human with the normal human strength of a woman of her age, height, and build who engages in moderate regular exercise. However, in the 2019 storyline, "House of X", Moira was revealed to be actually an Omega-level mutant with the ability to reincarnate herself upon death, reverting back to the moment of her initial conception with all the memories she experienced in her previous lifetimes from as early as in utero.[27] This allows her to manipulate the course of history by changing her own actions and thereby affecting people and circumstances that result from her presence. Her lifetimes have armed her with significant experience, including expertise in the fields of anthropology and genetics, firearms mastery, and leading various mutant survival movements until their eventual downfall.[27]

According to Destiny, Moira's reincarnation cycle is finite. When she encountered Destiny during her third life, she was informed that she had "10, maybe 11" lives in total, noting that if Moira were to die before her mutant power manifested at the age of 13, the reincarnation cycle would end.[27]

Her x-gene is also undetectable during her life, providing the ultimate camouflage to mutant sensors and detectors which will see her as a baseline human. Telepathic intrusions on her mind will only see the memories of her current lifetime, however, telepaths can see all her lives' memories as long as she allows it.[27]

Now bring the mutants now in mcu!!!!
