ask yourself..in daily shooting..how frequent u will use the zoom function...

for example fz28....use 18x zoom max lar..

the result..picture = not so clear..and dark

maybe this picture is neutral

the answer is no.

bird shot up the tree..u need fz28 tele zoom,even with fz28..the picture wont be as good as dslr with tele lens..or dslr with tele lens.

lx3 cant get anywhere near there ..same goes to g10..

off topic a bit :

a deadly combo to dslr camera will be

panasonic lx3 f2.0 lens with lx3 body combine with canon g10 digic 4 brain due to its jpeg processing (if can the dial control included) combine with fuji super CCD F31FD 1/1.6 sensor (to include the low noise ISO legend) combine with olympus miu all weather proof technology = WINNER

2)pre af? pre af is like i preset the focus..then u dun need to focus later..jz snap if the range is the same.....qaf means u need to press the button to focus...CAF means continous focus..drivin by motor...will eat battery lor.)

3)IE means....like u take a daylight picture..right side got tree...and under the tree very dark mah...sure under expose there while other place normal..so u on the IE lor..so that under the tree there looks brighter...which means that part of picture ISO is higher lor...

4) mode 2 for video means on all the time.... mode 1 for picture..means snap picture only the OIS is on

almost the same focus speed with grd2 i can say.



lx3 has locked focus .. which means u locked the focus d...u can snap picture...as for continously,someone need to check with it..coz the camera is not with me now.....others correct me if im wrong. and it has the locked focus button beside the snap button...see picture..it has locked focus button...




lx3 has also fast focus one point option combine with f2.0 lens....= super fast focus..

rm 1 k and rm 1.5 k ....rm 500 difference lar..it's too much to compare jz like that...if i were u ..i will buy the cheaper one instead....


Different league digicam... one got manual mode and raw and all the 3rd party accesories available ...another one rm 1 k only and can take good photos also....

if got money to spare..lx3......if tight budget then fuji f100d...i know fuji is good as well...if i has only rm 1k and dun plan to play manual function...i will get fuji f100d instead of canon Ixus series.But fuji f50 and f100D still fail to capture back the legend title which hold by f31fd


the only thing that can make u regret buying f100 d is...it's already 1 year....if f200d come out...and has better spec....then u sure rugi...and..the upcoming early year fuji super ccd EXR sensor..will make u regret...

i dont think the lastest stock has version 1.1

it will be version 1.0 and u need to update firmware by urself... to 1.1

extra zoom dun have 8X that far..

wide lens till 18 mm...dunno how much..but 3rd party lens is cheap.

if zoom far..need fz28
