![]() 'Indiana Jones' Coming to Blu-ray this October Indiana Jones is coming to Blu-ray, with Paramount Home Entertainment announcing an October next-gen debut for his latest adventure, 'Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.' In what is sure to be one of the most highly-anticipated Blu-ray releases of the year, Paramount has confirmed an October 14 street date for the $300 million-plus-grossing 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,' which will hits day-and-date with the standard DVD. Arriving as a two-disc set, disc one will see a BD-50 dual-layer presentation with 1080p video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio. (French and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround dubs are also included, along with English, French and Spanish subtitle options.) Extras on disc one include a pair of featurettes ("The Return of the Legend," "Pre-Production") and -- exclusive to the Blu-ray release -- the "Indiana Jones Timeline," a Bonus View picture-in-picture track presenting three different journeys that "explore the movie through interactive timelines that include video featurettes, in-depth information and unique imagery." Disc two boasts six "Production Diary" segments with cast & crew ("Shooting Begins: New Mexico," "Back To School: New Haven, Connecticut," "Welcome to the Jungle: Hilo, Hawaii," "On-Set Action," "Exploring Akator," "Wrapping Up!"), six additional featurettes ("Warrior Makeup," "The Crystal Skulls," "Iconic Props," "The Effects of Indy," "Adventures in Post Production," "Closing: Team Indy"), three pre-visualization sequences, and five still galleries ("The Art Department," "Stan Winston Studios," "Production Photographs," "Portraits," "Behind-the-Scenes Photographs"). |

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Aug 14 2008, 08:27 AM) Let's see how long u can tahan. Added on August 14, 2008, 9:06 am ![]() The Godfather Trilogy Remixed for Perfection The upcoming Blu-ray release of 'The Godfather Collection: The Coppola Restoration' will feature not only a restored and remastered video presentation, but also a new 5.1 soundtrack mix thanks to the folks at POP Sound. Paramount tasked the company to remix the legendary films in order to bring the sound quality up to today's standards. Moksha Le Blanc, POP Sound Executive Producer for Home Theater, commented, "There was a lot of clean up to get it to sound fluid in transitions-the original mono tracks were rough, with rough transitions. There was a lot of de-humming and de-clicking, as well as time alignment issues to deal with." He continued, "Essentially Paramount wanted it to sound like it had been released yesterday and we came close to achieving that." The project, which ended up taking eight months to complete, used the original mono track as well as the original multi-track music scores to recreate the mix from the bottom up. Additionally, areas where the original soundtrack was lacking were approved upon. One scene is particular was originally ADR'ed (automated dialogue replacement) due to a noisy dolly during filming. The results were less than satisfactory, so the the team adjusted it to be less obvious. 'The Godfather Collection' is set to be released on September 23rd, day-and-date with the DVD re-release. Added on August 14, 2008, 9:11 am ![]() QUOTE Luckily, Universal has upgraded 'U-571' to DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround, and it blows away the previous HD DVD. This is a reference-quality mix. August 26, 2008 REVIEWED This post has been edited by fentanyl: Aug 14 2008, 09:14 AM |

Looks like there will be no DTS-HDMA 7.1 from New Line Cinema.
![]() ![]() New Line has been absorbed by Warner. I wonder what will happen to Lord of The Rings Trilogy. This post has been edited by fentanyl: Aug 18 2008, 06:55 PM |
