jonC it may be possible, as the ceremony is recorded in HD

Since the footage is recorded in China, it might come out on Chinese HD-DVD format too. tongue.gif

rx330, you really have a penchant for nip  tongue.gif
Yeah, Bernie Mac is a good actor. Quite funny in Charlie Angels
*
Yup, Bernie Mac was indeed a good actor and comedian. His famous movies include Mr. 3000 and Guess Who. It's a pity he passed away at this age.

i asked 1 shop b4..those rm15 "BD" is direct copy from dual layer ori dvd only...
*
Not all the titles are copied from Blu-Rays, they just use a Blu-Ray cover to fool you and sell at a higher price. Noticed that D9 dvds are slowly disappearing and replaced by this so called Blu-Ray Dvds? Who wouldn't since they're priced at RM15 each compared to RM10 each for a D9 dvd.

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Aug 11 2008, 07:40 AM)
Finally watched TDk last week, after being blackmailed by my mob friend . I told everyone here I won't watch it in cinemas, I wanted to wait for the blu-ray. Sorry guys. He gave me an offer I can't refuse, laugh.gif

doh.gif And I was right. Now I regret it. Ever since I know blu-ray, I'm so impressed with the deep black level, even with my LCD, now imagine a plasma. The projection at the cinema was really bad. Blacks become gray, the dark scenes were just terrible. It's a shame seeing that for such a great movie. I came back and compare again with the 6 minute preview on the Batman Begins BD, no where near. The preview is one of the best PQ I've seen on BD.
*
It's true, I find that watching movies at home gives me a better cinematic experience than going to cinemas. Say tak nak to cinemas. tongue.gif

Even Rob Cohen said The Mummy 3 on BD will be more superior than watching it in the cinemas. Like that baru syiok. rclxms.gif

QUOTE(mpyw @ Aug 11 2008, 08:02 AM)
morning guys....no BD for me last weekend tongue.gif went to shopping instead....my wife's company's new shop opens at The Gardens....Girls fashion shop...Spanish brand...Bimba & Lola ....very nice & elegance design...about 30% of the price of LV only and you get the same quality and IMHO better design tongue.gif...off course I bought a purse for her lor....sweat.gif but the cheapest item in da shop lar haha...

The shop located at 1st floor gardens opposite COACH and near Isetan entrance...

Don't be fool by the deco....the price won't kill you for it's quality offer and got many below RM200 item in there too (the purse is one tongue.gif)...

2 more shops will be opening soon in 1U & Pavilion..
*
Got any special price for us? wink.gif

I agree that blurays is clearer but to me, dont know la, cinema is still something different.

Probably I dont have a projector screen like some of you tongue.gif watching it on a 37" and a cinema screen is quite different.

And of course, some movies are only worth that RM10 tongue.gif
*
No wor ........ I'm also using a LCD too. Somehow, I feel that blu-ray or even hd-dvd gives a better cinematic experience at home, even the sound alone, sounds better than a cinema, the gap is closer now if compared to our dvd days.

I will say that Sg Dollars are no longer in the same league as Aussie Dollars. I believe one day, Aussie Dollars will be on par with US Dollars. As for our currency, shakehead.gif

so u wont buy anything and save for a spending bomb in september.. look at the late august release too.. omg... september will be the day we shall all remember... haha
*
Well, luckily, I got a few titles I wanna buy in August and yeah, there are a number of titles I'm interested to buy in September. I guess I should take my own sweet time to buy them because I noticed that sometimes, the price of such titles will drop after a while when they are kurang panas (less demand).

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Aug 12 2008, 11:07 AM)
Nobody looking forward to John Carpenter's The Thing in September?
*
I don't think you should buy that. I own the hd-dvd version, the PQ and AQ really doh.gif
If it's dirt cheap like the hd-dvd version, then okay lah if you never own the dvd version before.

Just wondering, are there any ways to make or convert .ts or .tp files to play on a PS3 or XBOX 360? I've downloaded a couple HDTV clips in .tp format.

Any sifus can give some advice?

just rename the extension to .mpg  icon_rolleyes.gif

this ultimately means.. no need to do any conversion.. smile.gif but forgot to mention.. remember that ps3 hdd is fat32 not ntfs.. meaning u will face problem with files over 4gb.. i think.. no experience here
*
Okie thanks for the tips, will try tonight.
I downloaded Lee Hyori's concert in HD, wanna watch it on the big screen, rather on my pc.

Haha Amazon can choose DHL or Fedex? tongue.gif I tot it was automatically given to DHL.

Someone said Ketam Malaysia check the stuff in Hong Kong tongue.gif Maybe the Ketams took it!
*
Amazon is either using DHL or UPS but other video stores in the US are using FedEx. To be honest, FedEx is quite good especially here in PG, they will deliver before 10 am in my area whereas DHL will only deliver in the late afternoons. Besides that, I personally know the person in charge of ground operations at the FedEx station here in PG.

I also worry about their AQ too. I have more confidence in Universal, Lionsgate, New Line Cinema and Fox studios when it comes to PQ and AQ.
