yes there will be problem if u got a rotten apple. 2 way to know, look at the joint area to ensure that muffler glasspack was not being replaced before. Secondly shake the muffler to ensure no sound inside, usually for bad condition muffler u can hear some sounds like sand falls inside the muffler.

it will be "reliable" if you change your ATF Fluid every 20,000km and remember to use only Genuine Proton ATF III fluid. And remember do not flush your gearbox as that will only shorten the gearbox lifespan. That is due to high pressure applied to force the left over fluid out from gearbox at the same time some oil seal might leaked.

hey, what engine oil are u guys using to service the ur CPS?

10w30 or 15w50?

guy at service center says proton told him to IGNORE the 10w30 and use what they normally use, which i think is very fishy =.=

Apek said spoilt only change arr? hahaha....apek is referring to mini minor kot? hahaha...

For spark plugs is depends on what type your're using. If normal plug is around 20K to 30K mileage, platinum is 60K-70K mileage, Iridium is about 150K-160K. The above figure is for your guideline only you can change it earlier or later if you're really sensitive on performance. If possible get an iridium spark plug for more long lasting, Denso is around RM160 (0.4mm tip), NGK is RM130 (0.6mm tip), Volker is RM220 (0.5 or 0.6mm tip).

Meanwhile ATF+labour will probably cost you RM120~RM130 in Proton SC.

using 55 series will make the gap even bigger right? Somehow I find it a bit arkward hmm.gif

very dangerous la if I change the spark plug to iridium and then when send to mech, he quietly change to normal one sweat.gif

55 series is thinner compare to 60 series. In other words the total diameter of your wheel is smaller if u use 55 series. Pros of using 55 series is better pickup, cheaper tyre, lower ride, better handling. Cons is ur ride will feel stiffer, more noise, awful outlook on the wheel arch area (too much clearance). Oh yea, speedo meter reading vs actual speed will be slightly different.
