Anyone heard anything that the LRT station is not going to build in tesco opposite Setia Walk for now.. ??? I think it will affect a lot of vested people in setia walk, most buy for that pricing due to opposite LRT station, and not their buidling quality etc...just some rumors... anyone can find out ?

If you stay around puchong, u know next to IOI mall, they are clearing the land for the station,
at the other end, next to rakanmuda sports complex, they also clearing the land for station, except nothing happen near Tesco puchong, opposite Setia walk, and work already been started in both of this two station, but as it seems tesco is not going to be tear down..and nothing happening around that area, isn't it weird ? don't tell me that area is easier to build a station,  so really don't know what will happen now if the station is not there..

Latest exhibition on LRT extension a few weeks back still show the ST07 beside Tesco. Two stations omitted which are ST05 at Kinrara and one at Kg. Sri Aman. Therefore, I don't believe the credebility of the rumour. Furthermore, who says Tesco need to be abolished for ST07? It will be at the field beside it.

The distance between the station beside IOI to Tesco is less than 1.5km. If would not be logical; plus will also increase the travel time if there are stations so close to each others. Probably this is the reason of not building the one in Tesco.
The contractor have already started foundation work for the proposed station beside IOI. Have seen the soil investigation work started for the proposed station beside Tractor Malaysia.

Technical reasons aside, this will be a test case of the muscle of SPS.

IOI's muscle we already see it, they have got stations at IOI mail, tractor malaysia and so on.

Perhaps Tesco pusat bandar puchong will be domolished and a new building will be erected and Tesco becomes the tenant in the new building and LRT then built subsequently ? Wishful thinking ..... brows.gif

That was what I heard earlier, but now seems nothing happen, could be the station will be "erected" at a later stage... and not at this stage ?

The stations along Bukit Jalil Expressway also very near to each other. ST06 near IOI will serve the residents in Puchong Jaya, ST07 Tesco for PBP and ST08 for Bandar Puteri.

ST05 Kinrara cancelled because the residents protest.

ST08 very hard to serve Bandar Puteri unless there is a overhead pedestrian bridge. More like ST09 for Bandar Puteri ?

It is nothing to do with the Tesco land, the proposed LRT Station land is next to Tesco, there is a big piece if empty land where you can see a lot of foreign workers like to gather there, sometimes got durian stall also. Tesco is confirm shift to South Puchong, if the LRT is not built, then I think it will give a 10% negative impact ti Setia Walk, however I dun think the land will be quietly sleeping there, somehow got interested party (developer) would acquire it, Sime Darby won't let go this opportunity to amalgamate Tesco land to it.

Chief, wat's yr view on this?
I think it will stay. In the future this area will be the centre of Puchong, PFCC, Setia Wall & Future Sime Darby development on Tesco land. Prasarana want to do business right?

Yup... it really doesnt make sense to leave out the station in the HEART of Puchong. Unless Prasarana has identified that piece of land for development in line with their new strategy of increasing the value of selected prime lands near their stations, which I remembered i read in an article a few days back. My wishful thinking if you ask, is that there is no work yet at the station because they have a larger plan for it tongue.gif . There is no objection, no prob with land acquisition (it's currently a public field right?), so why leave it out?
