I guess you can play some stds like fly me to the moon, my funny valentine and stuff like that.

Blues, i guess u can try B.B. King's stuff, some of them are pretty soft for weddings.

But i guess, most importantly play some pop songs as well, i see many of them request pop songs that they know and share together.

pop and RnB is the way to go ! throw some good ol'rock n roll, and you're sure they'll hit the dance floor quickly.

who cares about blues and jazz, beside musicians ? biggrin.gif

Good old Rock n Roll is definitely a good choice.
It'll get the crowd going n yearning for more later.

Cheers...

thanks for the suggestions and i know rock and pop will surely make my life easier but the organizer kononnya high class event request us to play jazz. So i think it is better if we can hantam some jazz songs and play a half an hour blues intrumental to cover it lol

if i aint got you is it ?
hahaha

alienprobe ...

i am telling you lah ...organizer doesn't know sh*t wan lah ...

employ some super keyboardist , if can saxophonist ...

play this 3 chord progressions

1) . Fmaj7-Em7-Dm7-Cmaj7

2) . Dm7-G7-Cmaj7-Fmaj7-Dm/B-E7-Am7

3) . F-G7-Em7-Am , Dm7-G-Cmaj7-Cmaj7

then solo/ instrumental the hell out of it , 10-15 minutes per progression ..play it soft..not loud ..

you can jazz-cheating this way smile.gif ..

jazz market is easier actually , since you can get away with instrumental ...you can rest your front man ..employ ugly front man that are less demanding..etc..

i say play music from Michael Buble. But it all depends on the audience also. They might get bored if play too much jazz and blues stuff. p/s not everybody appreciate jazz music.
