QUOTE(Sanko @ Aug 2 2008, 12:09 PM) hrmm... i beg to differ here. lowyat has always been transparent dealing with us. lowyat never approach us for anything. only sean pinned up the thread cause if i remember correctly he thought that it would be a great journal for fellow forummers to see. he was kind enough to asked us before pinning up the thread. other than that, we are just normal members. none of us are mod/admin. To be good in oc,you need skill + money. This two is the key of it i don't remember that any or the OC United mods disallow anyone/anyteams to post any thread. sean didn't invite me to post the journal. it was me who post it and maybe he felt it was ok to pinned it up. not the other way round. do you really feel our presence here domitating this sub-forum? i do not have a tiny bit of feeling that this sub-forum is somehow a KOC dedicated sub-forum. remember that i posted that we are more known internationally? for the money/funds for OC, for me it is how far you want to go with the hobby. the main reason KOC was formed is to share the expenses to OC. once we use irenic board, coolice proc, my ram, lolhalol room + air con, sup3rfly power supply to clock. and overclocking is not really expensive if your mind set is correct. unless you are gunning for WR than it is expensive. try to participate in the Super Pi 32M Low Clock Challenge sup3rfly created. i guess you don't need any money to participate it. don't forget the tweaking part in overclocking. it is not always money. no comments on the competition though. If want to do good in low clock challenge, you need ram which is d9gmh/d9gkx base, processor which can do high fsb and board which can do high fsb which mean money as well But i do believe, there are people who can use lower end hardware and keep up with big boy |

QUOTE(NightRaven @ Aug 2 2008, 06:30 PM) seems like i am invisible.... I still don't have sub zero cooling equipment yet dudes..... its not about getting good hardware or passing on a chance... u guys totally miss the point of extreme overclocking. it's not about who got more money or who can get better parts.. or what not. it's about slowly building a reputation and getting the right contacts and knowing the right people. like i said. winning is a bonus. but the fact u are able to extreme oc means u have a certain skill the manufacturers want. to them u are a marketing tool. make it happen! it's not about winning some competition or what... it's about building yourself! your contacts and all! thats why i say its not about getting the right parts or having more money! it's about knowing the right people and then proposing to them how YOU can be of service to THEM! how u can help them and what THEY can earn. once they see how much they can earn if they support u in small ways. the big ways will soon come. @ a1098113 i hope to see u soon in some records then... then we'll see if it is about the right hardware the first thing u can do to prove it is beat my 3dmark06 score in the lyn database it's a very outdated score of course. but beat that first then we'll go on... Added on August 2, 2008, 6:32 pm u need to see further my friend.... try using lower end hardware and keep up with me.. Added on August 2, 2008, 6:35 pm no he's right... if u are good enough people will find u... coolice speaks with some competition experience. thats the way it works. tell u honestly You should know the limit under non chill liquid right |

QUOTE(NightRaven @ Aug 2 2008, 06:49 PM) haha well yea subzero equipment for starters u need to invest. one cpu pot and one gpu pot. there after u can even get ur sponsors to pay I am not that into 3d bench,a cpu pot will do fine for me i dont have good cpus. very sway with them but sometimes loan from manufacturers and all! so it can happen man! just need to make that initial investment! haha~ We will see when invest in sub zero stuff. |
