did you followed bizkutrai's steps correctly. I actually followed his every steps and works perfectly. The only diff is i was using winscp instead of other ssh tool.. Make sure you download the correct picture and place it at the correct folder

hi...anyone having problem seeing the internet tethering functionality using celcom, after installing the iphone 3.1 ipcc file?

3.1 breaks the ability to tether if you are using other telco than authorized telco by Apple (for Msia=Maxis). Other than that is a no go.
But you can try, if you JBed your iphone, PdaNet that is available on Cydia. Works perfectly on mine.

so that means we cannot send mms when we using digi,right?even thought we download the ipcc of digi for os 3.1?

I think APN for MMS or GPRS/3G access on the phone itself is out of question from tethering. If someone can't use native tethering and need to use PDAnet, then his/her APN is fine and he STILL can use MMS or data on he iphone. so, MMS/Data access on iphone is not tethering related issue.

im using iphone 3G OS 3.0 8GB (black colour)

i did Jailbreak with redsn0w 0.8 on os 3.0 firmware
everything was fine except the carrier not detected

it try the way in this thread but it wont work

please help me

Install ultrasn0w with Cydia. if it still doesn't work, install fuzzyband and make sure the baseband is good.

i did . it won work and also try fuzzy band to downgrade to 5.08 modem firmware ...also cant because my bootloader was 6.04
any idea guyz tq

Was your iphone detecting carrier with 2.2.1 before?

i try on iphone 3.1.2 and itunes 9 ..... seems like doesnt works ....

after replaced the ipcc file ....

maxis :
logo, changed
cellular data network, yes come out
internet tethering, yes come out

celcom :
logo, changed
cellular data network, yes come out
internet tethering, NO, doesnt come out!

hi all i have jb to v3.1 on my 3gs... and my maxis is 5.0, now cannot sent mms, izzit fine if i reset my network setting? if after i reset do i need to do any setting back for the network to work? how to make it turn back to maxis 4.0?

Edit: what I know is at for my phone the carrier need to be 4.0 but after jb to 3.1 the carrier change to 5.0, so if I reset the network setting so will the carrier change to 4.0? Or is there anyway to do it?

I have same problem too. No support for Celcom.
I read somewhere that FW 3.1 breaks the Tethering.

no, you don't have to.

make sure you have enabled carrier bundle support in iTunes. follow the instructions given on the first page to do so.

that's wat i did. after following all the instructions on 1st page i still can't select the .ipcc file. can only select .ipsw file.
