They keep denying everything. For all I know... they are working 'secretly' in the back... don't tell me after the success of TDK, they're just sitting around drinking tea ??

Let's hope Chris Nolan starts filming after he's done with "Inception". I predict a 2012 release of the third Batman.
Sam Worthington indeed has shot to universal fame... imagine him as Batman... hmm... |

'Batman 3' Production Begins April 2011
QUOTE Holy sequel-news, Batman! At the London premiere of Inception, star Michael Caine revealed to Digital Spy that Christopher Nolan’s as-of-yet-untitled sequel to Batman Begins, and the $1 billion-worldwide-grossing The Dark Knight, is slated to begin production in April of 2011. Although Nolan, his brother Jonathan, and David S. Goyer are still working on the script, an insider confirms that, although subject to change, Warner Bros. is indeed on track for an April start date, and Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman are attached. So far, Nolan himself has been reluctant to talk about the future of the caped crusader. Apparently he’s very much of the mindset that, until his current film, the critically-adored Inception, opens this Friday, he’s not interested in discussing details of his future projects. But Warner Bros. has also penciled in the next Batman for a July 20, 2012 release date. The studio was determined to set a definitive release date this far in advance due to the strong slate of other superhero movies to be released in the next two years. So Bat-philes, does this news that the studio’s gears are turning get you excited for Nolan’s next comic-book opus? Or are you even more psyched about his hand in producing a Superman reboot? Sources: http://popwatch.ew.com/2010/07/14/batman-3...gin-april-2011/ http://www.ontheredcarpet.com/2010/07/batm...caine-says.html http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5...lease_date.html http://gordonandthewhale.com/batman-3-film...gin-april-2011/ ![]() BTW I think JGL makes a great "Riddler"... besides he is in a Chris Nolan movie ("Inception"). And Chris Nolan loves to use his actors in more than one of his movies which makes this more likely. This post has been edited by defaultname365: Jul 15 2010, 10:43 AM |

Joseph Gordon-Levitt rumored to play Riddler in Batman 3
![]() QUOTE According to reports the 29-year old actor who played the character of Arthur in Chris Nolan’s Inception is said to be interested to play the characters. Known as the Heath-Ledger look alike, the actor has proved his credentials as an actor in films like 500 Days of Summer and Mysterious Skin and so it may be possible that he plays this character which was previously played by Jim Carrey in Batman Forever (1995). http://www.entertainmentandshowbiz.com/jos...3-2010072866292 http://entertainment.msn.co.nz/blog.aspx?b...owcomments=true ...he is interested but still no confirmation. I bet there will be. |

Killer Croc as villain?
Since "Batman Begins" and "TDK" was real-world based, how does one become a Killer Croc? Accident at the zoo? Overfed? Dear lord, Alfred! |

QUOTE(firedauz @ Oct 8 2010, 08:10 PM) Since Nolan is involved with the upcoming Superman movie... Lucius Fox : "So what exactly is the mechanism that enables you to fly?"... wouldn't it be cool to have a Superman-turn-rogue as the villain? Superman : "I was born this way. I'm a natural." Lucius Fox : » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Morgan "Lucius Fox" Freeman Hints at Multiple Villains in Batman 3 http://www.reelzchannel.com/movie-news/788...ins-in-batman-3 ![]() QUOTE MTV recently caught up with Freeman and asked him about his previous comments and Freeman said that it was a no-brainer that Nolan return to the franchise. QUOTE There was never any doubt in anybody's mind after Dark Knight hit the streets [that Nolan would return]. We know Warner Brothers would say "Whatever! What do you want? As long as you give us a third." When asked about his previously stated preference for Catwoman, Freeman said that he still hoped to see the feline vixen appear in Batman 3, but admitted that he did not really know if Nolan had her in mind. He also hinted that there might be multiple villains in Batman 3. QUOTE Well, yes and no. But I don't know if [the Catwoman] is going to be [Nolan's] choice. There's been talk of the Riddler, the Joker — I don't mean the Joker — the Penguin. Philip Seymor Hoffman as the Penguin, and that sounds interesting to me. So we'll wait and see. And there just may be more than one. |

in brackets "rumored"
I totally get what Chris Nolan is doing for the third film - - keep the epicness going with an awesome story and don't be fooled by the screams for "3D" ! I bet other movie makers would have easily taken the 3D route. Keep it up ! We should know the villains by the end of the year I guess. |

Killercroc can be done... perhaps a burly brawler that goes by the name of "kilercroc" - - perhaps he owns a croc farm and has some kind of Batman-fear-bats-but-i-fear-crocs kind of thing going on. It can be done...

Villains not confirmed yet?
The Dark Knight Rises Chooses Detroit Shoot Over Chicago http://www.movieweb.com/news/the-dark-knig...ot-over-chicago QUOTE Warner Bros. revealed earlier in the week that The Dark Knight Rises would shoot on location in Los Angeles and the UK, with a third location not yet decided. Fans of Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise have long hoped that the third location would be Chicago, which was utilized to great effect in The Dark Knight, giving Gotham City a very distinct, dark, industrial, and textured look. But that doesn't seem to be the case, as a local Chicago report indicates The Dark Knight Rises has chosen to shoot in Detroit instead. |

Yeah... Catwoman feels a bit off, even Bane is fine to be in TDKR. I just wonder how Chris Nolan is going to pull it off and stay true to the realism that captivated everyone.
Christian Bale, wow. This guy's body is like a machine with a switch for different roles. Not many actors can do this again and again. Now he has to put on the muscle pounds for TDKR. |

I'm thinking the story will see Bruce Wayne fighting with absolutely no gadgets, almost hopelessly with nothing. The film having a tone of desperation. He is completely stripped-off his "advantage" and has to devise a much more precise plan of attack. Everyone is after him, so even if he goes after the bad guys... they would just lock up the bad guys and Batman himself.
As for Catwoman, yeah I'm thinking along the lines of vigilante. I'm not so sure how much "cat" is going to be put into the costume or even in the character itself. Maybe we will see nothing of any "cat" symbolism, just a lady in a suit jumping around and just so happened to be called "Catwoman" for maybe being a cat crazed pet lover? Bane to me is a much easier task to tackle since QUOTE Bane's childhood and early adult life are spent in the amoral penitentiary environment. Though imprisoned, his natural abilities allow him to develop extraordinary skills within the prison's walls. He reads as many books as he can get his hands on, builds up his body in the prison's gym, and learns to fight in the merciless school of prison life. How tough or buff will he be depends on how real they want him to be. I'm not expecting Hulk. Perhaps a bulked up person with a knack of breaking backs. He has had a bad start to his life, and Gotham would love a villain like this. |
