Hey guys I just bought a P1i last Sunday. Must say it's a pretty darn good phone. Can mod it to whatever I want to lol. Have a slight problem with Slick Messenger. Anyone care to help out?

Whenever I try to log into MSN, it will scroll through the messages (initializing, authentication) and then it will stop for some time at 'Getting list...' After some time, it will suddenly say 'You have been disconnected from MSN. Timed out' So, any helpful, knowledgeable souls out there? lol

Huh, that means in the future no more new UIQ software for our phone. So, no one can help me with my problem? Well, jcmf, I would want to try to stick to Slick. Fring looks a little complicated for me

Well, I seem to have developed another problem. When I receive SMS, there is no notification message even though I received the message just fine. Means no ringtone playing or a message saying i have received a sms.

I did a restart but it didn't work. But I did figure out the problem after some searching. One of the files in my memory card seemed to have messed up the message notification system. The file in question was ZSBLIB... the one that was used to edit the status bar icon. After I deleted it from the memory card, the message notification system was back. Might want to take note of that

It's not everyday you get to find a stylus phone worth about RM1.1k only lol

Ahha! Finally managed to make Fring work. One more question, is it possible to set a Yahoo email account for P1i?

Only Gmail? Oh well....

Can't click on Replace button? As in you click, nothing happen or...?

As in main menu icons?

Are the icon files in some kind of folder like Apps or something like that? If yes, just copy the files of the folder and paste them into the same file as your C Drive. If not in folders, then can paste a link see where you get that from? Maybe I can take a look.

And mizandude, you got try restarting the phone before? I don't know how you got this problem. Try playing around with phone oso can't get the results. If not, then maybe master reset is your only option. Make sure backup everything first

Google Maps

Kinda like Google Earth in your mobile phone. Just installed it into my phone and I like it thus far. Can be a bit slow though >.<

The icons are usually in folders labelled resource or stuff like that. If they are, just copy the files that are in the folder and paste them in the same-named folder in C:/ If they are not in folders, then I'm not sure. Maybe post a link to the place you get the icons from? Can take a look

Yeah, I actually did notice that it's quite hard to connect the phone to the computer at times.

*grumble* There's not enough medical software for UIQ other than MSDict.

Actually, I haven't really acted on the problem because it haven't given me anything major. But eh, maybe ask the salesman from where you got it from. Or maybe try getting new connector.

Disable things? I never need to disable any things? What they ask you disable?


It depends on what you want from your phone. It's hard to answer a general question like that
